how did america function before illegals were stealing what we have here? oh wait...americans DID take the jobs! theres plenty of poor U.S. citizens who would be happy to do it for a fair wage. your confidence in the american people is so low its sad. and yes im willing to pay a little more for fruit if it helps out poorer AMERICAN citizens and gets rid of people who are draining our other resources like schools and hospitals. also--about half the illegals do jobs like mcdonalds and subway...not exactly impossible jobs. teens would be happy with them. who else is with me? can anyone say anything to counter what i said? kinda doubt it but might be funny to see lol.

lol....and crabboy pulls out the native american argument! wow lol. well the way we took this country was force and not by taking advantage of a system. its just how countries were formed back then. not saying its right but wouldnt it be more honorable if mexicans really wanted this place to fight for it?? but of course they would lose.

I agree with you. Anyone who is here illegally should go home, and give the jobs back to hardworking American citizens.

I'm with you there buddy, illegals are draining our resources, and in certain states, they even get free medical care! Heck, even Americans on medicare dont get such priviledge! They go to our schools and that is a HUGE drain there because American kids who actually need the help and special attention are being overwhelmed by these illegals who not only need special attention in learning to speak English, but also special attention in every subject that requires the use of English, such as Social Science, Science, etc. Where the hell does that leave American kids?!
And the single WORSE aspect of illegals is that when they come here, they bring with them a third world mentality and that is MORE KIDS THE BETTER, you know, so they can collectively work low wage jobs and help out the family. They breed with insanity and who gets footed with the bill when these new American babies are born? TAXPAYERS.
This nation rose to its current status as the lone superpower because of our unprecedented education, and our fierce technological and scientific edge. No offense, but unless Pedro stops trying to get his 16 yr old girlfriend pregnant with 4 kids, and get the f--- back into school where he will get a bachelors degree and enter the mainstream American workforce where he continues to study for his advanced degree - until then, America is doomed by these immigrants.

If the farmers want to hire them then the farmers should be working with the government to bring workers in LEGALLY. No one seems to get that. Not too many Americans are complaining about immigration in general. We are mostly complaining about those who come here illegally, work for cash pay of less than minimum wage and cost tax paying Americans money.
People keep saying America is made up of immigrants, we took this country from the Indians.
But did the Indians have established LAWS forbiding us from coming here? When my ancestors came here hundreds of years ago did America have established laws forbiding them to come? I think not.
Why did America establish immigration laws? Obviously we needed them and we still do.
Illegal immigrants today are breaking American laws just by crossing the border or by walking off of airplanes and overstaying their visas.

As far as the McDonald's jobs and jobs of that rank I agree with you about the kids but as far as what they do for labor in the vegetable and fruit market, I don't want to do the work and you don't either. They hoe all day in miserable heat or pick, whatever they happen to be doing. Sugar beets has a hoe only half the length of a regular hoe and I wouldn't make it an hour much less a day and then go back the next day. When it comes to working the farms I don't care that they do the work, I don't want to. It would be nice if they became legal though.

Mexico is better? then move there. the illegals don't want low paying job's any more. there taking the high paying and think there getting better pay. it's not because there better worker's. there cheap labor. if the bosses who hire them didn't pay them then they'd be in trouble with the human Rights folk's. American citizens made America what she is. and it took a lot of hard work. we don't need some one coming here and stealing, what we have to pay for. what planet are u from?

I don't give a damn why the mexicans want to come to America. The truth is THEY ARE COMING ILLEGALLY. Furthurmore, you bastards who supprot and harbor them are criminals and should be prosecuted as such. Hell I know of strawberry pickers who are making above the minimum wage and the damned farmer is still paying them under the table. Therefore, not only the mexicans should be fined and then deported the farmer should be fined and sent with them.

Given the right set of circumstances, people of all stripes will do whatever it takes to survive. We have the enviable situation of being able to pick and chose right now. This will not always be the case. Hopefully our politicians will put the brakes on this flood. We want to build communities and not be at each others throats.
Peace out lo!

Hello, I'm from Mexico. Well, FYI companies like Microsoft come to our universitys and take, graduates to the USA. Lot's of company's come here to take people to the USA. Just thought you would like to know. ***** with your company's not with the people.
"another point--if americans weren't as hardworking as mexicans...why did our countries turn out so different? they did it to themselves."
We were on a dictatorship for 71 years, the PRI took us to several economic crisis. You have no idea, about social, political, economical situation of Mexico. I know about the US, because my father was RECRUITED by a company of your country so I lived a couple of years there.
By the way. America is a continent, that includes Mexico. So why not instead of whining about Mexicans, implying that you are superior, investigate and think, ane get to the conclusion that every country has different people inside it, so there will be both hardworking people in USA aswell as in Mexico, but at the same time lazy people in both countries. Get it? We are all humans. Cut your xenophobic crap. It's like, xenophobic nationalistic people like you can also be found in other countries.
@Janet, Well I live in Mexico, and I'm not lying, companies come to university's to offer jobs. Sorry I didn't mean to hurt your nationalism.
I know you wont believe me so here is a link

Let me state that I do not agree with people crossing the border illegaly. What pisses me off is your arrogant xenophobic nationalistic attitude. Did you know that they are SHOOTING people who try to cross the border? You people forget that this is are also human beings, you don't have the right to kill them.
Want sources? Don't believe it? I know you don't see stuff like this on Fox news, but in Mexico this is becoming common news. Hope you can read spanish.

I do agree with you. I think the problem comes with the farmers. They pay immigrants next to nothing to do all that hard work. Then we tax payers get to pay their medical bills.
I think illegal immigration will work when Americans start hitting farmers in the pocket book where it hurts. If they insist on hiring illegals to work their farms. Don't buy that fruit. Will this ever happen? Most likely not.
