About the mexican couple with conjoined twins who came here on a "visit" and "decided to stay" so their children could get better medical care? They couldn't speak a word of English. They did the surgery to separate the twins.I would like to know,Who paid for that surgery? My heart goes out to those sweet babies, but this surgery must have cost a fortune.
I guess the reason it bothered me so much was because a dear friend of mine's little boy(7)was recently diagnosed with leukemia. He spent a few weeks in the hospital getting chemo and other treatments. The last I heard, the bill was well over $100,000.My friend will probably lose her house to pay this hospital bill, they are far from rich.Even the nurse said to her "too bad you aren't illegal, then you wouldn't have to pay it".I think this is just sad.Our own citizens can't get the mediacl care they need without losing everything, but others can just come here and get it all for free.Sorry for the rant, but this has been on my mind all day.

The people of Canada paid for the surgeries and recovery. This is what those in the United States deal with daily. Free health care for illegal immigrants is outrageous when many legal Americans cannot afford a doctor visit or medications. It is not going to get any better until the citizens of all countries still to the immigration laws now on the books and punish, rather than reward illegal behavior.

My little boy is the same age as your friend's child. My heart goes out to your friends. I will remember him in my prayers.
The nurse shouldn't have said that to your friend though.
Many people who get free care through the government get substandard care through crowded clinics.
Doctors see dozens of patients in an hour and there is very little bedside manner.
The treatment of those twins was very different than the treatment of cancer. It was probably far less expensive.
These immigrants are people too just doing what all humans do, trying to get by the best they can.

My sympathy to your friend, I have a thrift shop where the money goes to St Jude Children hosptal for people like your friend. I don't know where you live but there she doesn't have to pay a dime if she don't have it. It may be worth her going to Memphis for his treatment. They do have a McDonald house for the parents to stay for free also. Now for what you said, my heart also goes out to the babies but they knew when they came here it was for the free medical and we are paying for it, even your friend who can't even afford to treat her own child for medical.

I saw it. I believe they said the hospital picked up most of the bill. I am against illegal immigrants but i did feel for these children .but i do agree we need to take care of our citizens first. and enforce our laws when it comes to illgeals.

Yes, and I still cant believe we have liberals propagating inequality of treatment for illegal immigrants and inequality of shared wealth with the poor. We have sent aid to Iran's quake victims before and they still hate us in return. So America will never appease anyone, unless we just let them ruin their countries and let them spread world instability. The government must take care of its poor citizens first and foremost and foreign entities takes second.

I think the hospital payed for it, because it must have been almost experemental. That or their insurance covered a lot of it or some... and they were able to raise money... just a guess though.

I totally agree,it's not fair to those who pay taxes and get nothing in return these people come here & get taken care of with our money,it's insane.

I saw it. I fell asleep though at the second hour of it. Doctors shouldn't separate conjoined twins. You probably disagree with this, but i believe what those head-conjoined twins said. God created you in his image. Humans shouldn't try to play the role of God.
