"A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death." Does this represent the United States? Do you agree with this quote yes or no? Explain.

Is Iraq a "bad democracy?" Do you know what a bad democracy is, as opposed to a good democracy? Oh, sorry, you thought that all democracies were good. Right? Well, let me suggest to you that Lebanon is an example of democracy, ruled by its elected leaders, Hamas. Is that country a good democracy, or a bad one?
As a democracy they hate the United States and sponsor terrorism
against their neighbors (Israel, for example). So there is such a thing as a bad democracy, i.e., one in which the radical elements have seized control by popular vote and are running amok with few
if any of the attributes of a "good democracy" which promotes freedom, equality, and living in peace with its neighbors. So is IRAQ a "bad democracy?" Are we in the process of seeing Iraq turn into another problem just like the palestinians in Lebanon?

A house built on the sea shore in the sand will erode by the impact of the waves of the sea and eventually fall. A “super power” which focuses on “power over the world – a foreign policy” will eventually fail unless it diverts its’ attention to “its people” to strengthen its house. That’s why I believe that a “super power” should not be just a nation, a machine of military, government, its’ economy, and its’ influence abroad.
Today it should concentrate in strengthening and empowering its’ people to stand as a strong house on the shore of the sea of the world.

Does anybody realize that as part of the agreement that Iraq signed, should Saddam violate UN resolutions, that resumption of hostilities was an option? Do you STILL think that Bush "lied" us into this war? Are you a complete tool?

Let's face it.

Clinton came close to being impeached for getting a little action on the side. Bush has ruined a country, sent 3000+ soldiers to their death and has spent a lot of money doing it.

So why hasn't an impeachment process been pursued?

I must have missed a step, Liberals please advise..?

This morning I had a flat tire and tried to solve my problem using Liberal solutions.

1- I blamed George Bush for not passing a law requiring tire companies to manufacture tires that last for ever.

2- I sat down with the tire and said I understood why he blew, and they he certainly had the right too.

3- I threatened the other tires with giving them less air and giving it to the blown tire.

4- I again cursed George Bush for cutting taxes on the rich and not providing a gov't tire Changer on the highway every hundred yards or so.

All this did no good

So I acted like a conservative and changed the tire myself. Very much like a conservative because the donut tire was a minority, the little guy and hadn't had nearly the training the other tires have.
Why is it liberal solutions never work in every day situations yet conservative prinicples of get off your lazy *** and do it yourself do? What step did I miss?
