Bill introduced to ban incandescent bulbs
East Bay Business Times - 4:57 PM PST Tuesday

Democrats are taking freedom and putting government in control, Trans fats, smoking, spanking ,what else can we add. Democrats will eliminate “Land of the Free” and “Home of the Brave”

Assemblyman Lloyd Levine believes he has a bright idea: to ban the sale of incandescent light bulbs by 2012.
Levine, a Democrat from Van Nuys, introduced the bill Tuesday, claiming the ban of incandescent bulbs in favor of energy-efficient fluorescent bulbs would "cut greenhouse gas emissions and save consumers money."

Engineers agree that New Orleans is sinking. I believe it is not the Federal governments problem to save a city after the city and state mismanaged millions of dollars of levy repair money given to them. The fed should make a declaration that you return at your own risk.

So the United States Senate voted overwhelmingly today to raise the minimum wage in the US for the first time in a decade. Will this have any impact on poverty, like Sen. Ted Kennedy says it will? (Interesting aside: where I live, even someone earning twice the minimum wage would find it hard to support themselves..so I still think people are gonna be hurtin...)

First the AP wire services tell the public that the French President had met with UN and US leaders saying that Iran 'CAN NOT HAVE NUKE plants or weapons. Then they reported his embarrassment and he had retracted that statement.

What do you believe is behind that retraction? Because he's undediced or because maybe Iran leaders paid him to retract that statement made so many times? Keep in mind that France opposed the war in Iraq. Is he up to something? What do you feel his issue may be and why?

convicted congressmen still receive pensions.......anywhere from $47-$92K a year. you are the voters. do you support this?..of course not. now tell me those in office aren't taking care of each other instead of doing what's best for the nation. i wont even go into the 3 day work week for congress.....oh thats right the dems changed that...AFTER they took off those three days to watch the NCAA football championship....laughable

I thought Bush and his advisors were in denial of the "speculation".

What happened ?

In the Toronto Star today it has been found out that 1/2 of the 259 scientists questioned have been presured not to share thier research with the media and to delete comments and data refering to global warming/climate change in the United States .

So again for all this "Kyoto kool aid" cracks from the crack pot administration why the sudden about face and the revelation that oh my god it's here and we'd better do somthing other than lie our collective butts of and pretend it is a fad .

And why has this sudden revelation hit Harper as well ?

Maybe it's time for Dion to be given the riegns up here and take them away from that Bush photo copy of a PM we currently have
