I thought Bush and his advisors were in denial of the "speculation".

What happened ?

In the Toronto Star today it has been found out that 1/2 of the 259 scientists questioned have been presured not to share thier research with the media and to delete comments and data refering to global warming/climate change in the United States .

So again for all this "Kyoto kool aid" cracks from the crack pot administration why the sudden about face and the revelation that oh my god it's here and we'd better do somthing other than lie our collective butts of and pretend it is a fad .

And why has this sudden revelation hit Harper as well ?

Maybe it's time for Dion to be given the riegns up here and take them away from that Bush photo copy of a PM we currently have

Bush minimized climate change as much as he could. He also DENIED that humankind is largely responsible for it (something that has been clear to scientists for a while now).

Quite frankly, I think Bush is mentally retarded. However, I expected his scientific advisers to be more prepared.

Of course, you know the issue really isn't whether global warming exists, its what causes it, and whether the US can and should do anything about it in the first place. Some people just want the excuse to further ruin US business.

If the countries doing the manufacturing do not follow their labor laws, already on the books, why do you think they will follow any others? It would just be one more lop-sided agreement the US is honor-bound to uphold, and don't we have enough of those? By the way, the US spends massive amounts on super-site cleanups already, and has been for 10 years. In my town, formerly a heavy manufacturing town, we have completed major cleanup and more in the works. Oh, and the mayor who did all this, and we just sent to Congress? Bob Corker.

All that aside, calling people out is very rude.

And Dion did what when he was in the environemnt portfolio? As for Harper, you can be anti-Y2Kyoto and pro environment, which he is. Do you even know what Kyoto is about? Do you realize that China, India and Russia, under terms of the treaty are not required to reduce emissions. I thought so.

Whether you believe it or not, global change has not been in question. The question has been does man impact that change. Here the best scientist who are closest to the field of study say no. Rather, it is a result of a solar cycle and the cycle of the tilt of the Earth's axis,

The ones crying that is a result of what man does have no proof and have never been right in the last 50 years of predicting.

Election time is next year. Republicans need to find favor with the libs. But you must have missed the State of the Union Address as he is wanting us to use less fuel and utilize other means of energy other than fossil fuels.

Please use your spell check. You have a very good question that is riddled with misspellings. You want intelligent people to take this question seriously.

It's hard to keep denying climate change when almost all scientists is saying it's true. Plus when you get industiral companies saying it's true then the Prez has got to be on board.

This is a good thing. Anything we can do to reduce our CO2 and other gases will benefit us and the world. It won't make us lose jobs. Just the opposite, it will grow new jobs. It's a win/win situation for all.

Bush never denied the existence of a changing climate. He spoke of it in 2002.
