Just because they don't agree with you doesn't make them a Nazi and it doesn't make them Hitler. It's demeaning to all of the aweful thigs the real Nazis did, and it's getting to the point where it doesn't even mean anything anymore. If you can't make you point without refering to someone as hitler, then you shouldn't make your point at all.

I don't want to boycott gas because we need it to live but, I would like to come to an agreement, or solution to this huge problem. Any suggestions, help, thoughts, or ideas are welcome. Thanks

How many know about and support the efforts of grassroots organization to develop a Department of Peace within the US Cabinet? the mission described below:

"Participate in an historic citizen lobbying effort to create a U.S. Department of Peace. There is currently a bill before both Houses of Congress (House Resolution 3760 and Senate 1756). This historic measure will augment our current problem-solving modalities, providing practical, nonviolent solutions to the problems of domestic and international conflict." If you have not heard of this then here is the link to FAQ's : http://www.thepeacealliance.org/content/view/53/

I am interested in knowing your view on the idea.

So here's the question the Republican Congress will put before the Senate:

"Over seven million Americans can have a raise of $2.15 an hour by raising the minimum wage, but only if we give a tax cut to 7,500 ultra-rich people at a cost of $753 billion dollars."

Senate Republican Leader Bill Frist has said that this will be the only vote he will allow on a minimum wage increase this year.
Here are some simple facts that can't be ignored:

* Someone working full-time for the $5.15 federal minimum wage makes just $10,700 a year. A single mom with two kids who works full-time for the minimum wage is about $6,000 below the poverty line.
* The federal minimum wage has been stuck at the same rate since1997. Since then, Republican leaders have raised the salaries of Senators seven times. Salaries of lawmakers have gone up by $35,000 -- almost three times the entire yearly income of someone on minimum wage.

Raising the minimum wage to $7.25 an hour adds up to more than one year of groceries, over 9 months of rent, a year and a half of heat and electricity, or full tuition for a community college degree.

Oil prices are not going to go down and that buying suv's and guzzling down every drop of fuel they can get their hands on is not the answer.
Instead of bit*hing about gas prices why don't you buy more fuel efficient vehicles or carpool.

I just don't understand why anyone would be opposed. There seems to be no justification at all.
Just gays are allowed to marry doesn't mean anyone who isn't gay will be forced to marry a homosexual. What's the point in opposing it?
Am I missing something?
