I need help planning a rally to help ease the gas crisis as I call it. I live in a prodominatly poor state. Gas is now $3.10 a gallon up from 2.92 yesterday. We can't live like this. I don't want to boycott gas because we need it to live but, I would like to come to an agreement, or solution to this huge problem. Any suggestions, help, thoughts, or ideas are welcome. Thanks

Well everything cost! but there is this new car that runs off of oil cooking oil... it only works with desil cars/trucks... it bigger over seas and most people don't want the US to know about it! it would help if people used it tho!
get the oil from the oil bins from fast food.. and 1 gallon of desil will last you about a year!
If i find the web site i'll re post!

It's a noble gesture. If you really want to do it, then find a sponsor, agree on a time and date, then advertise.

Here's the irony of your rally; people will get there in cars and buses.

Here's the solution:
1. Build a refinery in the US.
2. Drill for oil in the US.
3. State and Feds lower their tax on a gallon of gas.
4. Come to some agreement on gas blends which increase the cost of gas.
5. Use public transportion.
6. Car pool.
7. Buy a hybrid.
8. Conserve.
9. What ever happened to the electric car?

It's all supply and demand. No one likes high gas process, but I read a study that suggests very few people are changing their consumption habits. Until the demand is less the prices will be more.

It's a bit like global warming. I asked the question of how people were changing their live to personally combat global warming. I had 11 answers. It's all talk and no personal action. We want the government to do it. We have to do it whether its global warming or gas prices.

You don't want to boycott gas because you need it. Do you understand what drives up the price? Your usage (or commonly referred to as "Demand").

Enjoy your rally, have a lot of fluids available, it's hot. You may meet some new life long friends. But that's about all the value you will gain.

write a letter to your local congressman and have everyone you know sign it. Or get the phone number of your local congressman and have everyone you know call that number. You can call 1202-224-3121 this is the switch board to any office you would like to reach. They like to know who to send the call to just tell them your zip code and they will send your call. You can also get a group of people and send them to gas station in pairs and have get people at the pump to sign your petition to lower gas prices then give them that number to call as well.

this is not what you want to hear but better get used to even higher prices and find alternatives for car use. US cities are built around cars and there's no alternative, poor public transport makes it impossible. You folks and your president need to change your mindset. Good luck.

for what you pay for a gallon i would be lucky getting a litre and a half. dont have a rally, if you got people in your area to keep their cars in the driveway for one day it would make a statement. oil companies can't afford to lose that much business in one day.

Walk. Walking never killed no one, unless someone who can afford gas, runs over you.
