Yes.
They are going to have their civil war ANYWAY. If we stay, everyone will blame us for it.
Since it is certainly going to fall apart anyway, we have nothing to gain by staying there. Let's scheme for an independent Kurdistan (they like us, put their 70,000-man army under our command on day 1 of the 2003 war, and were promised independence by the British in 1922) and give up on the rest of that eternal feud. We need to finish that trial of Saddam Hussein himself as fast as possible. We should pull out the day after Saddam faces a firing squad.

Hi. This is how I see it. USA goes to Iraq in response to their terrorist attacking USA on 9 1 1 day. Perhaps the terrorists were'nt part of Iraq government, but that govt. allows a lot of this type of nonsense to happen-NOT just on the USA, either. They try to eliminate the powers that be, hoping to get a Citizen Led Govt. established in Iraq. Iraq however seems to not care for this, and allow their terrorist leaders to fight back. Leaders who also tell their citizens the West is Evil, so 'keep us in charge'. Iraq people have been lorded over by these self serving leaders for so long, they aren't anxious to change it.
I think the USA has spent enough time there. I don't think Iraq will ever accept anything other than their status quo. Let THEM hash it out among themselves-but they will never win over the current way of things there. Western World is bad. Change is Bad. And in their mind West World represents change.
And if they want to continue killing other nation citizens under the name of Allah, then they should be ready for someone else's invading army in their country again...

You have a big AMEN from me on that. So many brave young men go into our military hoping to make a difference, when not much is being made. It is far time to pull out and let Iraq handle this. I love our soldiers and don't want to see them dieing for what? Do we really think a huge difference is being made? Why did we not just give the biggest air assault attack of all times and then go in and help them out? They hate us, and always will. The only reason they would want us there is cause we are so frigggin powerful compared to them.

I believe we should. When a country has a Civil War it called a Civil War for a reason. They fight each other!!! We are not part of there country so we should get out!!!

Why should they have all the fun? I agree with Urban Coyote. It has been suggested by others that we move our troops to where the Kurds are. They are friendly towards us and they would welcome our presence. This way we would still be in Iraq, but not caught in a crossfire between the Sunni's and the Shiites.

Anyone who answers yes to this question, and really believes that we do not have a responsibility to help these people and people everywhere, should deeply consider their own mortality. Innocent people are being slaughtered and some of you say "good". If you still believe what you say, pull the trigger yourself.
"All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."
