Restaining orders are done in Canada in Small Claims court. and you do represent yourself. It is just a matter in if the person wanting the restraining order has REASON to have the other kept at a safe distance. Afidavids are acceptable, here

usually a judge looks at ur report and decides if you've shown enough cause to grant a restraining order , that's it , but any evidence you have such as a tape or letters or answering machine calls will help you get one faster
