Many people say that they don't vote bacause there is nobody worth voting for. Then when the candiate that gets elected is bad they talk about how the other guy should have won, but they did not take them time to do their part to help. Your thoughts?

wow Okay!! first thing i must mention is this! Does it say you must vote to have freedome of speech... I don't think you do! so if i don't vote and i choose to complain that is my choice you have the choice not to listen you also have that choice to get mad and rant about someone who doesn't vote's opinion!
Good choices... if the mayor your town said you have 2 choices you can clean the bathrooms for a living or you can pick up trash for a living! are those good choises? I don't beleive so! so you are forsed to choice the better of the two??? what do youdo?

now to answer your question!
I do not vote! here is why!!!!
my vote does not count! if so then the voting system wouldn't be so complex... it would be simple... you know like counting eveyones vote not an average... averages can be way off!!!
and I dont like to be forced into a bad choice! now if it was a good choice maybe i would change my mind! I really dont like how everthing is being ran! but i personally think it would be anyones fault! bush gore who ever! it's been so long sence the government has been overthrown and even prez Ab Lincoln said the goverment should be overthorwn ever so many years!!! do to it not being overthrown Goverment alone is a consperiacy! It is out of all of our hands! We are going to a bad place in a hand basket and there is nothing anyone can do about it!
now if you stepped up and owned up to our own actions as a whole or group then maybe we could flip it around!!! but as i see it it will never happen!!! too much greed and power hungry people!!! oh well my head's almost above water!!!
:)
Mad luv to ya!!!

I strongly believe in participating in the electoral process. People should keep informed on the candidates and issues and then vote according to their conscience. I have been a registered voter since I turned 18 and have never missed an election, including the Tennessee state primary being held today.

Yes, I do vote. The burning question is will it be counted? Why can't we get a paper trail? In Ohio the vote was fixed by a Republican K. Blackwell and diebold. The Diebold President even said "I will deliver this election to GW Bush". Blackwell is now running for Governor in Ohio. He has the support of the National Republican party money since he has a proven record of stealing elections for them.
He is also worth $160 million and will not release his tax records as every other one running for Governor has done since 1982.

I would vote if my absentee ballot ever got to me...The 2000 election, I was stationed in California. My ballot didn't get to me until April 2001. And that was after repeated calls to the voting commission in my home state. 2004, I was stationed in Virginia, and updated my address with the commission in Idaho. It's 2006 and I have yet to receive my absentee ballot. But not like it would have mattered anyway, I saw the election results. 71% voted Bush back into office because they were scared.

I think my vote doesn't count, but I vote anyway. I can't b**th and complain if I don't vote. There aren't any worthy candidates. They lie, cheat and steal their way into office. It's so sad. But I appreciate my freedom and my right to vote, so I exercise that right all the time.

I vote for every election that there is even if it is just for one proposition, one candidate, many propositions, and many candidates. I know that if I do not vote, I will have No say and even if my candidate does not get elected, at least I know that I have a say in what happens.

If you don't vote, you have no business complaining about the results. I registered to vote as soon as I turned 18.

I do vote, but I also remember that it's not the only outlet for my political voice; the sadly underutilized rights of free assembly and petitioning the government can be very effective.

I vote because I believe my vote does count.
Even if I didn't, there is another reason to vote. If you don't vote, you have given up your right to complain about the results.
