Capitalism is a fine system, but it needs government oversight to avoid corruption and it needs regulation to assure that external costs, like pollution prevention or remediation, cannot be unfairly foisted upon people not profiting from their creation.

1. You added an editorial comment about "tree-huggers" to your question about the success story of capitalism. This is known as "free association" and establishes nothing about "tree huggers" other than your personal opinion of them. Thank you for your personal opinion. Now what was the question again? Oh yes, "great success story?"

2. "the poor misguided fools": Insulting intolerance - Jesus could not have said it better. Oh, you do know Jesus, don't you?

3. "Mans" is the possessive form of "Man". You forgot the apostrophe. In fairness, you were probably distracted by hordes of poor, misguided tree huggers who don't believe in capitalism. By the way, could you publish the results of your survey? You know, the one showing that the majority of "tree-huggers" don't believe in capitalism? Or is your believe based on - no, it can't be - a BIAS????

4. "the poor misguided fools" should start with a capital "T".

Although sound good but has failed in many front. Even in America, there are so many people poor. And because of Capitalism some people get easy way to become rich by crushing others, bringing more pain and misery to others. There is no protection or benefit for poor in Capitalism.

Capitalism is about making money by providing the least value you can get away with. There is no thought of 'service' in the mind of the capitalist.
Capitalism also depends upon 'growth' and 'increased demand'. In a finite planet this ultimately cannot prevail.

Yeah, it beats all other systems, look at the Soviets with their communism, or the Nazi's with their Socialism, or even the Italians with their Fascism. All failed. Capitalism has stood the test of time.
