Teach - I would never kill another human being for a cause (and I hope I am never put in such a position). Although, as a family person, I am like a lioness in protecting them.
---------------------------------
I have just read some people's answers. I suppose the scary thing when people talk about avenging family etc is that can be crossing the line of which we judge many others. The issues in the Middle East very often are "you bomb us so we bomb you."
The worst thing I have ever seen on TV was the ending of the siege at the school in Beslan (I was at home that day and saw live unedited coverage). Those poor children were held hostage by men and women from Chechnya who had lost children due to the conflict with Russia. They probably felt that this avenged their children (and their own terrible pain) in some way. We know as observers that the sheer cruelty of their actions and the physical and mental methods used were totally (beyond) evil.
Yet, for all of us who have children, we know how much we love and want to protect them. The deep fear, that I do not like to think about for more than a nano-second, is if evil crossed my family's path - how would I control the "avenging" side. How parents who have lost a child in a tragedy live with anger and/or move to a place of peace, is beyond my comprehension

I garentee that any person could kill, given the right motivation. Be it kids, family, whatever. EVery person has a breaking point. Some people just need pushed harder that others. I know for a fact i will kill to save my family or my own life. I would also kill to save someone I don't even know. No one can sit here and say no bacause very few of us ever get put into that situation where there is no other choice. I'd bet anything that when push came to shove and I was kill or be killed any of us would kill, It is in any animals nature to preserve their own life and the life of their offspring.

YEP, it;s called Freedom.
You may not see thier angle, but most of them are fighting for freedom or power.
The difference between a terrorist and a revolutionist is that the Revolutionist has won. Our founding fore fatheres were terrorists in the eyes of the British. Imagine if they will, what will happen. They will write history to thier liking and they will go down as heroes and not terrorists.
Keep that in mind.

Only to protect my own life or the life of someone I closely love and it would have to be a response to the present moment.
I would NEVER kill for a religious belief. That is completely asinine since those kind of beliefs can't be proven to be true. I think people that do that are moronic pieces of sh!t.
I would NEVER be in the military either. I have no interest. If everyone felt that way there would be no need of it.

Killing is wrong and i don't condone it under most circumstances but if i were to kill someone it would be Ian Huntley for the disgusting and vile act he commited on those poor little girls. He should have all his skin removed by razor then be rolled in salt, then given to the lions at Longleat, still alive !!!!

Yes. I would kill the terrorists who attacked London last year. I would kill to defend my family or friends from attack. I would not kill for my own gain or for political or religious ideals.

Yes I would kill for my children. I personally think there must be a better way than terrorism and don't agree with it in any way, but I think some terrorism is the same as my answer, killing someone who is endangering their children and children's children the right to their way of life. We just judge it differently.

No cause is worth human life. Unless one kills in self-defense, the taking of another human life is wrong.

I'd kill for my U.S. Troops dying for me and to keep the War from our Homefront.
Jesus died for us all The Whole World. He thought that was a good enough cause to die
