Am I the only person who realizes that there is no such thing as a 'gay marriage' its all in the news about 'banning gay marriages' when it doesn't even exist. I have done research in this field for years, trying to find a way around such things for my father (who united with a man 3 years ago). All I have ever found are 'civil unions' which are legal in Vermont and Connecticut, and trying to get legalized in California. I would really like to think that these people would know better. Get a dictionary, it says marriage is the condition of living as husband and wife. They are called 'civil unions' and they are scarcely legal as it is. Its very frustrating when you do research in an area like this and then it gets falsely publicized. Please post opinions, thank you.

I expect that folks with bad intentions watch CNN (or any other News network) too so I am often surprised when they point out specifically unguarded border crossings. Isn't that like leaving your door unlocked and calling out as you leave that you've left the cash on the table...any old nutbar now knows just where to go.

In 2008 I want to run for congress (or senate), against a democrat, in the most liberal state of the Union.

I know I must be 25 for congress, and 30 for senate (I'm over both). I know you must be a citizen of the U.S. for 9 years (I'm a born native). I know that you must live in the state/district at the time of the election (I'm willing to rent a place for that time)

I do not know, however, how to get your name on the ticket. How do you apply, and what are the requirements, such as # of people's signatures. Can anyone point me towards the answers for that, I can't find them.

I know this sounds funny, but I would love to do it. I have a great strategy (I won't tell you), and I have my opponents picked out already. They are some of the most liberal pieces of crap you can imagine.
Thanks.
