No matter if you are liberal, conservative, or a middle-of-the-road voter, why do you assume a vote for any candidate will make a major difference in the United States and how it carries out its foreign policies? I'm not talking about small time changes that any new government brings into effect once taking control, but huge, noticeable change that they enact.

I ask because the federal government is basically a mindless machine set on autopilot and no-matter whether an independent, republican, or democrat is in the White House, it just keeps on going. Sure, small facets in terms of policy may change but I'm talking about the overall picture. Don't focus on the tree in front of you but rather the whole vast forest in question.

I keep hearing them complain about people wanting handouts, and they always bring up the fictional "welfare queen." Don't they know the system was reformed 11 years ago? The way it is set up now a person can't receive welfare for more than 5 years, and in most states you have to have a job to receive benefits. The fact is the issue was resolved back in 1996 so there is no reason to keep harping on this issue. Maybe you should spend more time complaining about corporate welfare.

I don't think legislating gun regulations means anyone is trying to keep those who can own firearms from having them.

Some people aren't supposed to own firearms and I think creating waiting periods to ensure legal ownership should be accepted by law abiding citizens.

Is there a link to some credible organized group trying to take weapons ownership from U.S. citizens?

Does Tricare cover Clomid, the fertility drug? How do I get it if they do? Do I just make an appt with an ob/gyn and request it? We've been trying for a year, but I never made a pre conception visit to say-- hey we're going to start trying now! Are there any requirements? And do I have to see a general practitioner first and get referred? I have Tricare standard. Thanks!

I don't know when the next election will be (especially since Brown chickened out last time - ha ha, gonna be all the worse for him).

But what can be done to get rid of him ASAP?

(legally of course...)

Sheer curiosity. Do you think someone would make it within their 20 years? that would mean 6 enlisted 14 officer-enlisted.

Great hours
Great pay
Not strenuous work
Soldiers do it every day of peanuts

Am I alone in thinking this is the best job ever?

It was a green light, and the 1st car was at a dead stop for a while, and the I guess the 2nd car noticed the 1st car and suddenly slammed on the brakes, and then I (3rd car) slammed on the brakes and skid and hit the 2nd car, the 2nd car and me was traveling 20mph while the 1st car was at a dead stop on a green light; so who's fault is it?

Don't you realize if thats true they have all of the power?

Yet if you take charge of your own life and future, you have all of the power.

Why are people so quick to give up the power over their lives to someone else?

I am not an advocate of a MasterRace.............. but if some deffeciency in the human genome is minimized through lack of reproductive capacity is it then not unethical to circumvent this via embryo implantation in surrogate mothers ?

We could be perpetuating human suffering needlessly ?

We have always said non-conception is better than abortion both medically and ethically (unless you happen to be the Pope).

If nature takes its unimpeded course then will not inferior traits be minimized through lack of vitality in the womb ?

It's A new era now were both parents work now, so there is hardly any adult supervision on children until the evenings. Thats why most of the kids in the cities are drugs or hanging around the bad influences (Gangs, Tagging crews), Girls having sex at a young age, having kids (and you can't tell me that this is not happing in your neighborhood).
Most of the parents focus more on their work, than they do about their kids, on how they doing in school what there doing when they are working, who are there friends.
But let a military recruiter talk to their kid, or call the house OMG is like the end of the world, now they cared.

Im just amazed, and so I'm just wondering why are we portrayed as the most evil person's in parents eyes.

Ok, this is all hypothetical, but if I were to run for president would you vote for me? the following would be my goals:
*reinact blue laws (families need a day to rest and be together)
*I would NOT ban guns
*Limit the amount of $ spent on making and developing new computer games, and have the new money help engineers figure out new ways to improve transportation and help the enviroment
*(regarding last) while engineers do so, I would drill in Alaska, but only until a new deal has been created with NATO or cars are more efficent
*do what they did in the depression: if you're on welfare but able-bodied, you'll help build roads and bridges
*higher sin taxes on tobacco products
*take some troops out of Iraq, relocate to places such as Darfur (but only if the soldiers are willing to)
*not spend a ton of money on advertising campaigns

I just watched it. I tried to keep an open mind. Question, are his "facts" true? Did he lie? Can you prove that the film was false? I don't want to split hairs on details, Looking for the big picture on this. I know he probably took statistical license, but doesn't everybody when they present a case?

If most of what he says is real, then we have a probelm. Is most of what he says real?

I think there might be some 1/2 way decent reps out there but for the most part aren't Republicans and Democrats alike NOT being served or represented adequately by their elected(?) officials?

I think there is entirely too much scandal and corruption across the board.

The thing is though .....Republicans IMO are getting the shorter end of the stick. For instance I think decent and respectable conservatives like some of the people I know are appalled at the actions of many of the most public officials like Larry Craig and Vitter and Foley and Bush and Cheney among others.

So I guess it's which is the better of the not good enough? Sad!
