No. They just get drunk, pack themselves belly button to buttocks in a four mile stretch on the Strip, and wait for seven hotels to fire off their pyrotechnics. Makes a lot more noise, lights up the sky and keeps guns out of the hands of drunks.
Besides, this is an "open carry" state and the sober folks are armed.

Not really gun fights; however, they are always shooting pistols in the air on New Years Eve and people get hit with the bullets.

I live in a quaint drinking village on the west coast with a summer tourist problem.

On New Years, we usually just have drunken brawls.

I live in Los Angeles so I'm sure there will be at least one. I'm doing my driving early so hopefully there won't be any drunk ppl with guns on the road!!

Yup, here in Texas, we ride our horses down to the town square, sit around the saloon drinking whiskey until late afternoon, then we go out and have duels.
