I think there might be some 1/2 way decent reps out there but for the most part aren't Republicans and Democrats alike NOT being served or represented adequately by their elected(?) officials?

I think there is entirely too much scandal and corruption across the board.

The thing is though .....Republicans IMO are getting the shorter end of the stick. For instance I think decent and respectable conservatives like some of the people I know are appalled at the actions of many of the most public officials like Larry Craig and Vitter and Foley and Bush and Cheney among others.

So I guess it's which is the better of the not good enough? Sad!

To answer your question;

It would depend on whether you want government or yourself to run your life and decide how much you deserve to take home from your hard work.

In my opinion, the Republicans

Pelosi said she recognized the fact that democrats were put into office for change, especially in Iraq. They have done nothing but give the president money to continue this fiasco. The republicans on the other hand have a host of problems to contend with this election. Corruption, spending, growing the government, all the gentlemen you mentioned and the lack of moral integrity displayed by those folks. Their choices are really very limited. They can choose religious leaning Mitt or Mike which many people don't care to have that much religion mixed into their politics, or Rudy who is a devout catholic thrice married and pro-choice for states making the decision about abortion. Neither party represents their base and we the people get screwed.

As a general rule of thumb republicans better represent their constituency.

Democrats are a 'big tent' party so the leadership has a almost immposible task if they decide to represent anything but the biggest presure groups. Republicans are very strict in their beliefs so being a republican require very little deviation from the party line making it realitivly simple to represent them.

It is immpossible for a government (democrat or republican) to truly represent the will of it's people. Government expands dispite the people.

Yes, it's cool!!!!

Every Election, the Democrat Party lies to the Democrat Voters.
And the Democrat Voters NEVER wise up.
I love it. It's fun to watch.

All Democrat Voters really care about is getting some Hand-Outs from the Taxpayers.
And that is the ONLY Campaign promise that the Democrat Party keeps.

When as Americans has it become acceptable for us to vote not for the most qualified but for the candidate who will least be likely screw us over?
This has become out of control and we need to find a way to hold these people more accountable for their actions.
We deserve better.

I have never met a Representative that accurately represents ME.
I believe in the constitution and the Bill of Rights.
WHO follows them?
Do ANY of them keep their Oath of Office?

I feel that party doesn't matter because both parties are absolutely corrupt! But there are only two candidates that I can even come close to trusting, and they are Kucinich and Gravel. The rest of them are PNAC/NWO tools. *sm*

Democrats. I voted for bush and his administration and I am very disappointed. We need a conservative who will get back to conservative roots. Otherwise the Democrats have us by the short ones.

I think the biggest problem is the Frederal Government has to much power. More power should be given to the state and local governments so we will be represented properly.
