this is another two part question, both are realative to the topic, but are seperate questions.

my first one is, should men have a say in abortion? i'm figuring most of you will say no, but i'm interested to see if someone thinks men should have some part of this process/decision.

my second part is, would you find it reasonable for a legal agreement on responsiblity? women have the right to alleviate any responsibility for taking care of a child by getting an abortion(in general). a guy has no voice in the matter. this hurts men in two ways. one, is if the guy wants and is willing to take care of the child on his own. maybe rare, but it happens. but number two is what really bothers me. if a women chooses to keep the baby, despite the fact that he doesn't want the child, he is forced to take responsiblity for it. this goes back to the question, should there be a contract, for a guy to "abort" his rights as a father. this means no visitation, no child support, nothing.

I just realized that they dont show that anymore like they used to back in Vietnam and other wars. Anyone know why?

Just wondering. Seems like the people who made such a great sacrifice for their country should at least arrive home in plain day light for all americans to see them and honor them.

I'm Chinese-Filipino, my husband is Lebanese and we have one child. We might qualify for the Quebec program and he wants Montreal as he's French-educated&grew up partly in Paris. I also speak French and with some practice, could probably handle Montreal. But we're not sure if employment opps are abundant in Montreal..i'd still prefer work in an english environment...or if it's better to undergo the longer migration process so we can migrate to vancouver/toronto, etc. Or is Oz much better over-all?

they say that GMA is the most corrupt president? Do you have any evidence in saying that so? If it's true, why blame only the president when in fact many politicians from the opposition as well as from the administration are also doing it?

The point is that the neoconservatives do realize this. Their defeat in Iraq and Israel's defeat in Lebanon has taught the neoconservatives that the US cannot prevail in the Middle East by conventional military means. As I have previously explained, the neoconservatives' plan is to escape the failure of their Iraq plan by orchestrating a war with Iran in which the US can prevail only by using nuclear weapons. As previously reported, the neoconservatives believe that the use of nuclear weapons against Iran will convince Muslims that they must accept US hegemony.
The neoconservatives have put the elements of their plan in place. They have powerful naval forces on station off Iran's coast. They have convinced President Bush that only by attacking Iran can he prevail in Iraq.

The neoconservatives have rewritten US war doctrine to permit preemptive US nuclear attack on non-nuclear countries. (2) They have demonized Iran as the greatest threat since Hitler.

and isn't true that given opportunities to eliminate the bogey man, the tyrant actually will drag his feet and let the bogey man get away and continue to operate and "make threats" because a live and active bogey man is much more valuable to the tyrant than a dead one or one that is in custody?

My father passed away in May of 2007 leaving behind his live-in girlfriend. Since his death, she is now suing his children for his house, saying it was "promised" to her. There is no common-law in CA. and they were not married. Furthermore, he changed the deed to his house 3 months before his death and she was not named. His will stated that his children where to get his assets. Fast forward 7 months . . .we have written up several lease agreements to her, all of which has been rejected (mainly for items in the house that she claims are hers) Once the last agreement, she stated she wants to take the stove "because it was the last thing my father gave her" We have the receipt to prove he bought it with his own money out of his bank account! At any rate, she has continued to hold up the process and it has finally taken it's toll. I am so stressed at this point that I am having anxiety attacks as well as I have a Dr's appt. to get put on Valium. Can I sue her for anguish?

Is Obama going to pull out the troops immediately? I heard a rumor that he was not going to do this. So I looked up the sources and could not find a CREDIBLE source. Then I watched video, the most recent debate, and in it, he said that he was going to pull them out starting now at a rate that is safe. A lot of people seem to be misinformed concerning this rumor which was probably started by competition. Someone give me the video link if I am wrong.

How is lying to a hostage taker in order to save lives or shooting someone to save a friend any different than waterboarding someone to save lives...many lives? I mean isn't shooting someone more severe?

Some opponents of waterboarding talk about preserving our constitutional rights...but what about the constitutional rights of those who lives are endanger? We forget about their freedom.

Would any of you not use waterboarding...if it could have stopped 911?
Would any of you not use waterboading...if it could prevent someone from killing YOUR family?

I think these are tough questions that we need to ask. We don't necessarily have to know right now...but I think we need to think about it thoroughly before we discount it.

I agree with waterboarding if there is a strict criteria that justifies it (which I am sure there is...for legal means)
Why? Because I want to protect the constitutional rights of others.
Where am I wrong?

All points are welcome...I CAN TAKE IT.

Before anyone starts bashing GWB, let me just say that I believe he has screwed up Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Korea, Katrina etc.......But Hillary voted to authorize military action against Iraq then made every effort to undermine the war. I feel she changed her stance not because she thought the war was wrong, but because she wanted to score political points. In that aspect she was very succesful, but I feel that her actions have prolonged the war in Iraq. As a result our troops our paying the price in blood. Isn't that treason?

I'm an international student in Canada and my study permit will expire on January 15. I don't need a visa to enter Canada (i'm from Italy). I'm applying for an extension, and I wanted to leave Canada and re-enter with this study permit before its expiration date, but I've been told that is "dangerous" and I may not be allowed to re-enter due to the fact that I shouldn't leave Canada within a month of expiration.

And also, does it make a difference to re-enter through an international airport (from Italy) or through Greyhound bus (from USA)?

Please answer I need help soon.

I have just been screwed around by an independent tradey. He has recently "repaired" a railing of ours on a small balcony, and has done an unfinished job, (leaving after I paid and before I noticed) not to mention breaking some of my belongings without mentioning it and leaving all the offcuts in our car park to dispose of ourselves! After calling him to come back, he has failed to show up, and now wont return my calls. Is there anybody I can o to with a complaint like this? We live in Tasmania AU. I don't want to fork out for another builder!

Why does America still refuse to ratify Kyoto?

As one of the richest nations in the world, I don't understand why they still refuse to fight climate change. Given that 137 countries have signed inclusive of India and China, the USA remains the only notable exception from the treaty.
America is a very rich nation and could quite easily afford to turn 'green'. Imagine the ramifications if America curbedtheir military spending and used that money to help turn America 'green'.

Only recently, Australia signed Kyoto, to my disappointment it hadnt happened any earlier. How do Americans feel about this?
Are you keen to turn 'green'?
