I'm Chinese-Filipino, my husband is Lebanese and we have one child. We might qualify for the Quebec program and he wants Montreal as he's French-educated&grew up partly in Paris. I also speak French and with some practice, could probably handle Montreal. But we're not sure if employment opps are abundant in Montreal..i'd still prefer work in an english environment...or if it's better to undergo the longer migration process so we can migrate to vancouver/toronto, etc. Or is Oz much better over-all?

Depends on what type of work you do whether it would be easy or not to get in to Australia and if you are happy to work in a bigger rural town it would be easier again if you have the needed skills to come here

Montreal is better because you knew French. Australia is an English speaking country and there are many people who are applying thereat.
