Election in 2008?
It appears that you assume that she will win the democrat nomination, as that is before the general election between the dem nominee and the republican nominee.
The immediate problem now is whether Hillary will win the nomination, as her invitability has diminished in the last month because of Obama's surge in the early states (Iowa, NH & SC).
If the nomination is held today or if she can maintain her current poll standings by the caucus and primary dates, she will win the nomination because her national poll is about 20 points ahead of Obama.
On the other hand, if her current poll standings in Iowa, NH and SC deteriorate further and the deterioration is followed in other states in Feb 2008, she may lose the nomination to Obama.
If Hillary is nominated, there is a very chance that she will win the general election, because most american people have been polled to indicate that they will elect a dem nominee than a republican nominee. These people appear to have been disillusioned with the republican administration (Iraq war, economy, etc.)
By the way, do not be misled by people saying the Hillary is polarizing or disliked by people. Many of these people saying so are republicans or obama supporters. The republicans want obama, not hillary, to be nominated because obama is more easily beatable by the republican nominee. According to various polls, Hillary is still the most liked candidate by the dem voters.
Obama is beatable because (a) question about his muslim upbringing and religion, (b) personal character flaws: drinking and drugs in high school, dirty and lazy at home per his wife, etc.), (c) politically inexperienced with only 2 years as a US senator, and (d) his claim for blackness while half-white, etc.

No. Not a chace.
Still, depending on the poll you look at
Hillery regularly poles almost 50% negative reaction. This means that at least 48% of the LIKELY voters will not, under any circimstances, vote for her.Coupled with the perception by a majority of men that Hillery IS the most polarizing and devisive figure in politics today, thats two strikes right there,
Lastly We can also project that America, at this time in our history, will not elect ANY woman for President (I don't think America would vote in a Black man either at this time)
So, will Hillery win the election on '08?
Maybe the nomination, but no way she wins the general election.
