I received an email that a woman dying of cancer was going to leave me $10,500. All I had to do was email her barrister Walter Ashburn at walterashdownlaw7@yahoo.com.hk. I was suspicious so I googled the name, and found that this is the same name and email used found in other scams.

THat was personalizing its retirement program like Bush Had suggested. Now it appears that all the baby Boomers are retiring and we will be forced to do something with SSI.

WHat are your ideas to try to save SSI and how do you feel knowing that your money that was earmarked for your retirement was stolen and spent on other programs?

In the private sector that is illegal and I think it is acataully illegal in the Governmental sector.

So what do you think?

Some blanket arguments against having a woman president include:

America would be perceived as militarily weak.
Did you ever think this could be an advantage?
Read "The Art of War".

How about: Women aren't rational.
And the last 2 Presidents were?

The question asked should be "Who will do the best job"?

As long as you cling to a preconcieved ideal or model, rather than assessing a candidate on their merits, you will be shooting yourselves in the foot. And by the way, your country is in a crisis right now.

Personally I think that if you assessed candidates on their merits, you would hear very different rhetoric, if not have an entirely different lineup.

Great Depression - Hoover's anti-trade policies and the Fed's artificially low interest rates had a lot to do with this, yet its constantly cited as "proof" that free market capitalism doesn't work. What about the government intervention that contributed? Do we have proof that they failed too?

Bush - Oil prices are up, inflation is up, food is up, housing is a mess, and the world is angry at us and insecure about the future of our investments. Why? Well, because he spent too much money using the government to interfere with the economy!

So, if a Socialist Government calls itself Capitalist and then fails, is that good proof of the failure of Capitalism ... or of the failure of Keynesian Socialism?

can i have your opinions please,
in about november 2006 I told the deputy head of my school to **** off and i got an external suspension for 5 days. last januaray i said a boy was an attention seeker and he threw a ruler at me, i threw it back and then he picked up a chair and threw it at me it hit my hairline luckily. i had to go to A+E and have 7 stitches in my head, he got 2 days on internal suspension just doing all of his work out of the class and not really interacting with anyone, my mum appealed many times and kept going on eventually i got a personal apology from the headmistress. the reason they gave was partly that it was the boys first offence, well when i got suspended the first for telling the deputy to **** off it was still my first offence, im suspended at the mo for 2 days, for bunking 2 lesons and running into a teacher and pushing her backwards. (not intentionally) can i have your thoughts in the chair incedent please. Thank you

Soon, nobody will take the time to use it except a few whiny people. Then there will be no money in it for Yahoo, and it will be a service no more. True?

He is probably a few points higher in the first few states that vote first due to the ads he has been running. Still 25+ days left. It seems he keeps going up.

Here's my premise: They're either wrong in their thinking if they are demonstrative and seem to possess a plan of any sort -- too Hollywood, too corporate, the wrong religion, the wrong past, the wrong special interests back them, they back the wrong politicians currently in office -- or they are hollow placeholder men who would keep the seat warm in the Oval Office for their respective party without contributing anything of value to our esteem in the world or our national leadership.

Do many of you agree? (And please, don't throw "that's why I'm a Libertarian" at me. Libertarians are, by definition, people who lose elections in America, no more no less, and they can't get past that block.)

Since it turns out Iran is NOT trying to make a nuclear weapon, shouldn't Bush apologize saying the world has to support an attack on Iran to prevent World War III?

"If you're interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing them from having the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon."
