Irish people seem to think that their history is tragic, sure it has had war, starvation, poverty and disease but so has every other country. English history has had all of those things; (war, rape, plague, starvation, invasion, disease and slavery (even at the hands of the irish) Ukraine lost 41 million in famine, China had 20 million killed by the Japanese, Russia lost millions in WW2. Every country has had a tragic history but they don't see themselves as victims of another race. Why are Irish people different?
