Why has CNN turned the debates into a joke.

Here is one small concept that CNN had: We'll have 5,000 youtube people ask questions. Then CNN will decide which questions actually get put to the candidates.

That is exactly the same as if CNN had asked those questions!!!!!!

Anyway....

"
In fact, this most recent debacle masquerading as a presidential debate raises serious questions about whether CNN is ethically or professionally suitable to play the political role ..."

By the democratic majority in congress? We know that back-room tactics are employed. Who's to say the committee subcommittee, used strong arm tactics to pressure the security advisory to produce such a contrasting report.

I work as a care assitant and last week one of the men I visit was showing me his fathers war medals. He was telling me about them and so on. The man has no family, and I was thinking about his medals when I got home so the day after I asked him what would happen to them when anything happened to him, as he has been quite ill. (I have visited this guy for 5 years and was comfortable asking him and he was comfortable to be asked. I'm not in the habit of sussing out peoples inheritences!) Anyway he told me he had been wanting to sort out having them returned to the regiment his father served in, and had meant to write to them but hadn't been able to. I told him I would go to his house one afternoon and write for him. Unfortunatley he went into hospital last weekend and died yesterday. I have passed this info onto my manager who has informed his social worker, but how do I find out his regiment and stuff like that? I'm not convinced the social worker will put the effort in.

Before 9/11, espionage was still a the cold war system. Where our enemies were clearly defined by their borders. But while nations have everything to lose, movements can survive on ideology alone.

Al Qaeda was a new kind of enemy, calling for a new kind of spycraft.

So my question is, how has the United States Intelligence community adapted since 9/11?

Is the CIA now training agents in Arabic instead of Russian? Instead of recruiting ivy league kids fluent in German, Russian or Chinese, are they now recruiting Harvard grads of Arab, Persian or Mediterranean decent?

Or has the CIA been replaced by new agencies unknown to most of the public?

I'm sure the NSA is still on top. But what about Delta Force? Or Black Ops? Whose commando tactics seem ill-equipped to face an enemy made of dispersed cell networks.

Who is training the new generation of western spies and how are they doing it?

If anyone knows of any books or sources on the subject, I'd love to know where I can find info!

socialist, had the Speaker of the House as his running mate, and went on in his presidency to pass landmark legislation and economic policy that was originally introduced to congress by his predecessor but had been turned down by partisan votes led by Cactus Jack.
