Corporations that don't make profits don't employee citizens. Corporations that don't follow fiscal and environmental responsibility lose profits.
Some corporations can do both.

better many times than not because of heritage, because that the wealthy have not in any respect somewhat been kind to the undesirable and all. yet not in any respect concepts heritage, all corporations want to do is make a society a better efficient position at no one's price. The early 1900s are basically misrepresented, honestly the companies were out for the traditional guy. most of the wealthy might want to provide 2 shits about you, me, or anybody else. If there have been no regulations we may all be residing in shacks, operating 80 hours per week in unsafe circumstances, and be slaves to our bosses. this is undesirable sufficient even as i'm required to carry round a cellular telephone, so as that my pastime can dictate after I do and do not paintings. in case you provide them an inch, they'll walk throughout you.

Profits. It is the purpose of corporations to make a profit. It is the responsibility of PEOPLE to have enough intellegence to select good products and services.
Our society runs on a
FREE MARKET ECONOMY...
it is the foundation of our EXISTANCE!
The premise is that in a free market economy, if the products or services do NOT provide to the benefit of its citizens - then the citizens will not purchase the goods and services and the company will fail.
This system has its inherent (checks and balances) built in!
It's what made AMERICA - AMERICA!

Corporations care so much more about profits that they outsource jobs to other countries and then wonder why people can't afford to buy their product, regardless of what it is.
You ship out jobs for more profit, you have fewer people working here, so do the math.

Both. If all businesses have profits, the economy is well off, so it ultimately helps Americans. About 2/3 of people in the US are now stock holders.

Profits. Corporations could care less for their well being...because most of the time it isn't profitable and the company will go out of business.
