I'm a conservative -- a *real* conservative, not some neocon poser -- and I'm *relieved* that Darth Cheney's not going to be able to fabricate a reasonable-sounding reason for attacking Iran. Well, for the moment anyhow. Stay tuned.

It is truely dissappointing that to this day 99% of Americans still have no idea why the war in Iraq happened and why the subsequent war in Iran will be fought.
It is not a war on terror, nor is it about nuclear weapons. It is about global economic security. Why not just come out and say that? Because too many people don't understand the ramifications of an all out oil war and will never see it because Paris Hilton is on the other channel and she's got new shoes! People react a lot more quickly to nuclear weapons threats as they are better understood.
Is there no justification now? The justification remains the same as always.

No, Bush will probable do like his daddy and wait till he has decrease than a month to bypass in workplace to attack Iran so as that he can hand off a overseas coverage disaster to the incoming Democratic President. Daddy Bush invaded Somalia with 3 weeks to bypass in his time period without genuine plans on what to do once there, Jr. will invade Iran in addition.

Speaking as a conservative, I'm glad to hear that Iran isn't working on nuclear weapons, and hope that they continue along that path. They have admitted however, to working on their nuclear enrichment program, which is an essential step in the development of nuclear weapons, so they can still change their mind.

Not real conservatives, maybe the big government liberals who are currently in the Republican Party , but not traditional Conservatives . I am happy that they have been co operating and angry that both the people in power and the presidential candidates have been lying to Americans for 4 years. How quickly some would rush to war a second time over lies. We need to return to the Foreign Policy of Our Founding Fathers that of Non-Interventionism.
No More Pre Emptive Wars !

I feel much better now that the report came out contradicting Bush when he says Iran is an immediate threat. The report says we don't have to worry about Iran getting nukes until 2010. We all know that's a LIFETIME away. I can rest easy for at least 700 days. Don't you feel better too?

As a conservative, I disagree with the premise of your question.
I'm upset, but only because we haven't already bombed Iran, paved it, and opened the world's largest 7/11 right smack dab in the middle of it.

No justification.................
Holding 444 American citizens hostage was justification enough. Holding a grudge you say - heck yes!
Next time they may not be released - alive!!
