So I am stumped. Cigs are legal, alcahol is legal, but pot is illegal? There has never been any deaths from pot, and last time I heard alcahol and cigs were alot worse then pot for your health.

Alot of you may not know, but I think it was every 1 in 5 people smoked pot. Pot may be illegal, but it is not preventing anyone from getting it, selling it or using it. You cannot get addicted to pot, and you cannot have any life changing expierences from it. You may also be surprised on how many students in highschool smoke it

Just because it is illegal, does not mean its going to stop any of us from using it.

So can someone give me some good info on why pot should stay illegal?

my opinion, it should be legal.

I have been out of the navy for about 6 months now and I can honestly say that I miss it. I still work with the reserves, and I'm not sure what I want to study in college so it seems reasonable to me to just get back in... but I know there had to have been a reason to get out and I just don't know what to do. I don't want to be miserable right now but I think I may have been happier in uniform.

I recently moved in with my aunt and her daughter. My cousin & i are only a few hours apart & are just like sisters. We never made real aggrements on paying bills or anything but my aunt just assumed we would pay some. when we did talk about it is was only going to be 120 for my cousin & i each. My aunt got a bill in the other day for almost 200 & wants me to pay for it & she told me two days before it was due. I am 19 & work as a waitress & bussines right now is slow & i am lucky to walk out with 200 a week. You would think paying the bill would be ok but i buy my own food, gas, and anything and everything else i need. By the end of that i really have not much money to spare. I tired explainging this to my aunt & she is just heated about the whole thing. My cousin has no problem paying her bill becuase she gets an 800 check in the mail every month for going to school that she can do whatever she wants with. Am i being unreasonable about not paying the bill or should my see my deliema

I mean, I would think you could just mount a backwards facing machine gun (or missiles) so that when the enemy is behind you, it's possible to fight back.

When I was in the army, I had a first seargent say that he was tired of hearing people complain about the new army; there's just the army. There was no such thing as the old army. I know this isn't true, there really is an old army and a new army. When I was in basic, you couldn't get beat up anymore but you could damn sure still get smoked, then when I was on permanent duty I met a private who said they had stress cards, that they could use for a 'time-out'! Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? What I want to know is, when and how did the change occur? Is it going back, I hope?

People, there is a good reason that a man came into Hillary's headquarters demanding to talk to Hillary. Apparently ,the bomb strapped around his waist showed the mental Illenss that he has. Why did he come to Hillary's headquarters and not Obama's or Edwards. Since Edwards goes on about taking about the poor, so one would think he would do the same for mental health people. Maybe the man knew that Hillary had first hand knowledge of Mental Health given to her by Tipper Gore when Hillary was first lady and Tipper was Second lady. Hillary came out the other day ago talking about autism. If she keeps continues to keep talking about this issue, she will win, And I wil fight to see that she does win, cause I tried real hard in 2000 to get the presidential candidates to seriously talk about autism to no avail. I was disappointed when Al lost cause Tipper would have championed the issue of Mental Health in this country.

My biggest aspiration is to graduate from the Air Force Academy and become a fighter pilot. At the academy i plan to play football, hockey, be part of the sabre, soaring, and wings of blue drill team, and the aviation club. (I am fully aware that this is over ambitious) However, I kind of messed up in my freshmen year of high school acacadmically (not horrible but about 2.0) but this year (sophmore) i have a 4.17, i'm in AP classes and plan to take more, i play football for the school, i'm the 1st lieutenant and athletic commander of an njrotc, i plan to have a total of 300 voulenteer hours at the VA hospital, several letters of reccomendation, beyond perfect vision, and a students piliot liscense. I know I'm doing a lot of things that i should be, but is there anything else i can do to improve my chances of being accepted into the academy, and making it onto the teams above???

I am moving to a city about 1000 miles away for various reasons and I was trying to find a place to rent before I got there by placing an ad and looking in ads. Well I came across one woman who was looking for a roommate. So we talked on the phone for a few weeks and on email and stuff, I got to know her and trust her. So I deposited $450 in her account to hold the place and then I was going to be leaving tomorrow to go live there. Well since I deposited the money the only communication I got from her was she was not going to have a roommate anymore and that was it. I have asked her for my money, tried calling, left messages, she won't answer, so basically she robbed me. I have text messages, witnesses and stuff that prove that the deposit I made was for rent and we had an agreement, I also have the bank deposit receipt. So I called the police and they said basically for me to get a lawyer, which doesn't make sense to me, it won't be worth it. Any advice?

Let's say the Vietnam War was going on and I just got my draft letter. Could I choose to serve in the navy instead? It seems like a much better alternative to being a soldier on foot.

When listening or talking about the immigration and illigal alien problem in America, the elements of the basic problem spread out over all of America in many different forms and idenities. You find the problem not only at the border but also in the heartland of the Country. It is a problem in the rural and subburban invironments. It is talked about socially, economically, governmentally and spiritual as a major problem, but there is no workable remedy on how to deal with the problem.
It seems to me that the borders situation needs to be sorted out ok, but the Historian, Arnold Toynbee In his book, A Study of History, warns that declining civilizations set up rigid walls around the state and even their minds in an effort to keep the barbarian tribes, the outsiders out of the empire including ithe empire's citizenss ideas about pure thoughts, ways of life and sources of power. But the ridgid walls they use to defend themselves actually intensifies the energy and attacks from outside.

taxing only the rich, "subdividing property", government work programs, labor laws, and social spending, "classical liberterians"?

Thomas Jefferson and Thomas Paine believed in those policies.

Is it because they already know no founding father who fought in the REVOLUTIONARY war could have been conservative, and therefore have to resort to making sure liberals can't make a point either?

Citizens arrest allows someone to preform an arrest to prevent a criminal. While those preforming these arrests are highly liable they may be slightly protected if they accidently take the wrong person.
If Citizen A has reasonable suspicion to believe that innocent Citizen B is a criminal, Is Citizen B liable if he/she causes bodily harm/death in resisting this citizens arrest?
