Citizens arrest allows someone to preform an arrest to prevent a criminal. While those preforming these arrests are highly liable they may be slightly protected if they accidently take the wrong person.
If Citizen A has reasonable suspicion to believe that innocent Citizen B is a criminal, Is Citizen B liable if he/she causes bodily harm/death in resisting this citizens arrest?

In Missouri, a person making a citizens arrest HAS to be right to have any legal protection. If you try, and you're wrong, you are subject to civil suits and criminal charges.

A citizens arrest is NOT allowed in order to prevent a crime. You can only make a citizens arrest if you witnessed a crime. If you tell the person you are arresting that you are doing so, then he is not immune from suit if he injures you in resisting arrest.

The legal thing to do if you believe you are being wrongfully arrested - by a cop or a citizen - is go along with the arrest, and fight it in court.

If you make a forcible citizen's arrest and are wrong, then you're guilty of a felony.....so you better have actually witnessed a crime.
