Like 4 of them and they stayed there for hours. The ambulance and fire truck were sent away only minutes after arriving. Everyone cried. This is so weird. I could see the whole thing through my window. She was a young mom and I just saw her the day before she died. I don't want to ask people picking up her stuff now what was going on.

Gillian Gibbons has been arrested , charged, tried , been found guilty and sentenced for breaking the law in the Sudan.

However unpalatable to us in the West this is, how can we in the UK condemn immigrants for not accepting our laws and customs, and then be in uproar in this instance.

Reports are saying that Gillian is being well treated, and chances are she will be released unharmed.

Iran released thirteen British naval ratings when they illegally entered Iranian waters without trial.

In both these events the Western media have had a field day denouncing the two regimes involved.

How can these two stances be reconciled when prisoners are being held in Guantanamo Bay without charge , defence or trial for years during which time they are tortured, abused and denied basic human rights by the so called civilized US government?

True or false?

"If a carload of wheat is considered to be a commercial unit, a buyer who contracts to buy ten carloads and accepts eight and one-half carloads is considered to have accepted nine carloads. "

I am confused because I thought if a buyer contracted to buy a certain amount of units and accepted one, he has accepted all of them. So wouldn't the answer be false, because he has accepted all ten? This question is a bit vague for me, so any clarification would be appreciated. Thanks!

What do you think of all us girls who go and visit our boyfriends every weekend, go hire lawyers and run ourselves ragged, go into debt, etc to help get the person we love out of the system?

Is it pathetic? Sometimes I feel like I've turned into a really pathetic woman... but then other times I think no one understands or knows his heart the way I do.

If you had a daughter in this type of situation what would you advise her to do?

Are we all just idiots with low self esteem - if so how do we get help?

Please no mean answers, this is really serious to me and I do really need ideas so I can help myself.

After a very hostile workplace conflict a year ago, I immediately decided to quit a job. I wasn't forced out or anything but I was talked about immediately after the incident occured and I left within a few minutes of the conflict because the supervisor had not intervened until she saw that I was on my way out the door and she basically got scared because she knew that she was understaffed as it was and she needed me to stay there. I know that "voluntarily" quitting a job makes it harder to take legal action or anything like that, but I am suffering severe distress over this job incident, even though it happened over a year ago and I can't move on from it because there was no real resolution and I was made to look very bad. Another thing, the coworker that I had the conflict with had been fired twice previously from that company so would that give me leverage in anyway.

Isn't it time for us @the tail end of the "baby boomer" generation to take this thing over and correct it?

What if we had a salary cap of say $100-$150K a year, which in my opinion would still provide a family with a lifestyle way in excess of what the vast majority of the people on the planet could ever dream of. I believe this would force private companies to divert their funds from overinflated salaries to better benefits for their low wage employees, better wages, better safety, and higher efficiency. Any thoughts?

Yes it would kill the minority of terrorists but murder millions of innocent people. Isn't that kind of thinking a little bit hypocritical?

Eating donuts in the breakroom he makes your annual salary plus half. Gas prices and the cost of living is increasing for the middle/lower class (the foreclosure crisis) and we're trillions of dollars in debt due to the Iraq war.

Is anyone else angry about what's happening? America's being sold out by big business and special interests. If we continue going down the path of King George or Giuliani we will be bankrupt slaves working 15 hours a day to barely get by.

We have a three party system really, counting independent, but do you believe in it? Do you like the fact that we are separated by belief is good, or do you think that there aren't enough parties, or that there is no point in being separated. Please exxxpplllaaiiinn your thoughts.

Last week an english police man was in court for speeding, 120mph in a 40mph limit, he ran through three red lights and even drove with his lights off to try and evade capture. He was let off and managed to keep his job. What would have happened had it been you or I?
