My boyfriend is going in around August, I believe. He said he was going to be doing something with chemicals. I just wanted to know if there was any position in the army where you don't wield a gun or do anything too dangerous? And is 2 years the minimal time they have to be gone?

Who are these people REALLY working for?

What have they promised the lobbyist that would make the lobbyist give them this much money?

Why are people putting up with this?

Do people in this country care that the lobbyist do not have the people's interest at heart...only the interest of their sector or product group?

How many promises to lobbyist did HIllary have to make to get those lobbyist to give her all that money? I am sure that they aren't giving it to her just out of the goodness of their hearts.

I pick on Hillary because she has the most.

His speech is on the record for him stating we had no valid proof to justify toppling the Iraqi government. His statements have proven incredibly accurate.

Here's the question -- did the press spend one millionth as much time on Juanita Broderick's rape by Bill Clinton (and Hillary's subsequent scare tactics directed at Ms Broderick) then they do about this stupid Larry Craig incident?

George W. Bush was visiting an elementary school, and the 4th grade class he sat through began a discussion related to words and their meanings.

The teacher asked the President if he would like to lead the class in a discussion of the word “tragedy.” So, George W. asked the class for an example of a tragedy.

One boy stood up and said, “If my best friend who lives next door is playing in the street and a car comes along and runs him over, that would be a tragedy.”

“No,” said Bush, “that would be an accident.”

A girl raised her hand and said, “If a school bus carrying 50 children drove off a cliff, killing everyone on board, that would be a tragedy.”

“I’m afraid not,” the President said. “That’s what we would call a Great Loss.”

The room went silent. No other children volunteered. President Bush searched the room and asked, “Isn’t there someone here who can give me an example of a tragedy?”

Finally, way in the back of the room, Johnny raised his hand, and in a quiet voice, he said, “If Air Force One, carrying Mr. and Mrs. Bush, was struck by a missile and blown up to smithereens, THAT would be a tragedy.”

“That’s right! And can you tell me WHY that would be a tragedy?” asked the President.

“Well,” Johnny said, “because it wouldn’t be an accident and it sure as hell wouldn’t be a Great Loss…”

I have drilled in the ARNG for 6 years. As an officer I have an 8 year obligation. I owe no time for bonuses or such. I want to transfer to the IRR for my final 2 years and my unit said they will fight it. There is currently no "stop loss" in place. What can I do to ensure transfer to the IRR?

I just read a piece on Yahoo Home Page which states our
tax refund being on time is in grave jeaopardy because
of congress members bickering amongst themselves and the job they were elected to do is on 'low priority' while these
guys and gals play politics....it's our money and we want
it back on time...so let's take our message to our congress-
man, "...get your tail on the job..or get it kicked out next time
you need help from us....!" But then, would it do any good,
they have already goofed off 'til it's about too late anyway!

Say if the political landscape of the United States changes, and the citizens wish for a Dictator for life, or a socialist system, are they allowed to vote to disband the constitution, or can congress vote to disband it? I think we are far from ever reaching that point, and hopefully if it happens its when I am so long gone that I cant even be traceable in history, but could it feasibly happen, or is there a clause in the constitution that allows that to happen? I know there have been amendments, but can we totally disband the constitution?

What were your experiences? I was in the Army. And basic training wasn't all that bad. I fell off a tower while climbing it. Broke my wrist. A big black drill Sgt came running over and before he asked me if I was alright. He said in a deep Southern drawl. Damn I wish I had my camera. :) Fearing him more then my broken wrist I jumped up and said I was ok.

Do you think Joe Biden would be a good president?

I think he is one of the most bi-partisan candidates.
