I'm Australian LDS, so the whole Mitt Romney thing makes no difference to me. However, I am surprised at the number of people whose responses indicate that they didn't even watch that very short (4 and bit minute) video. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much!

Fellow Christians, if you love the Lord, just take 5 minutes out of your day to watch it. You won't be sorry, I promise.

Reading other responses to your question simply amazes me with how uninformed some people CHOOSE to be. yes, that's right. Choose to be. I am Mormon. I have been all of my life. Every day of my life I have worshiped Christ as my Savior, the Lord, the Redeemer of the world and the Divine Son of God. I have never, nor do any Mormons, look at Christ as just a mere mortal. He is the ONLY way mankind can receive salvation, thru and of and by his grace.
Yet people persist in their ignorance toward Mormons. If you do not know what Mormons' believe, why not find out? Here you go: www.lds.org

Mitt Romney is Christian

Those who say that we aren't Christian because of one little difference in doctrine really needs to hear my duck analogy. Most of you have already heard it, so I won't repeat it, but if you want to know, let me know.

As far as I'm concerned, he's a christian. He believes in Christ, that He is the Son of God, our redeemer, savior, brother and friend. It is only through Him that we gain salvation. If that isn't Christian, I don't know what is.

I also don't think that it should really be a consideration when talking about politics. I don't care what religion someone is, it's who would be best for that position.

If the definition of being "Christian" is anything more than believing that Jesus is the Christ the Son of the Living God. That none come unto the Father except through Him. And then FOLLOW Christ. If someone ADDS to that definition...then not a lot of people are "Christian" anyway...so why worry about it?

I'll leave the question of whether Mormonism is a Christian denomination for the theologians. I just care that he is a principled man with a solid moral belief system. That's what is important in a man...not what spiritual route he took to get that way.

LOL... that's a good one!...

I agree- It's amazing how belief that God still speaks to man, accepting Jesus' word to ALL people as scripture, and wanting to inherit all God has to offer His children.... makes a people "non-Christian"

Edit- to Human Bean--
Huh? Earthly father and mother? Sorry, but I've never heard it taught that Jesus was actually Joseph's son... Joseph was (to use modern terminology) Jesus' step-dad-- the man married to His (earthly)mother.

"I'd say he's partly Christian, but to win the Primaries & then win the Presidency he'll probably have to say that the Bible is the ultimate book rather than the distorted Book of Mormon. Otherwise, Huckabee will most certainly win the Primaries & go on to become President".

He can't start promoting Mormanism over Christianity. That would cost him way too many votes. He just has to create a religious smokescreen with evasive answers and hope that nobody notices.

Mormon's are not Christians. To be a Christian one has to believe the Jesus Christ is the Son of God. They will use this language, but they denie his divinity. They claim he is nothing more than any other human - a person with an earthly father and mother.
