I believe you, but please cite.

Thank you C.S. for the YouTube video. Well, sure looks like an illegal alien apologist at the very least. He's off my list.

leaders are only treating the symptoms and not the disease, that's the problem...I don't personally have a problem giving scholarships to deserving students, but how did an illegal alien get into the school system in the first place

The real problem is that the government does not punish every single case of an employer hiring an illegal. If the companies were as afraid of an INS raid as an OSHA raid, there would be no illegal problem.

We don't give our own children money for college why should e give it to illegals. Any school or state that does this or city that becomes a sanctuary city should have all federal money and services stopped including the mail.

Yes, I've heard him say that during an interview. He is in favor of scholarships for anyone who is scholastically qualified, and if they are not a citizen, then they must become one.

I do not agree with this view and it is one strike against him in my book. But, it still puts him up at the top of my short list.

Because he is another bleeding heart that thinks America should take care of the whole world while they overlook what is going on right here in America. Makes me sick. Frankly and I hate to sound like a Scrooge but our economy is in trouble and our resources are depleted. Why must we continue be everything to everybody. We need to take care of us for a change.

It's a question of feasibility: If we pass a law in the states that says illegal immigrants cannot receive college scholarships, then the result is that admissions directors have to require some proof of citizenship. This would crash the college admissions process to add such a requirement. So, simple solution is to specify in law that illegal immigrants can receive scholarships, just to avoid this problem.

Because, like the libs, Huck is a closet lib. He wants to hide this fact so Republicans, and most Americans CAN vote for him.
Notice how he danced around this little fact at the debate. He will not, with his attitude, be strong on illegal immigration. I see another Bush in the wings with this guy.
Romney has promised to build the fence and enforce our existing laws...more than enought to get rid of the the huge wave of spanish speaking invaders of this country.

I do not support Huckabee but this is obviously false. Don't believe everything you read (especially on Yahoo)

Edit: just saw what you've misrepresented. He supports scholarships for all who are educationally qualified and allowed in US schools. So if US law requires state school to admit children of illegals (which it now does) they must be allowed application to state scholarships. (but not loans and grants) The answer to "What's wrong with giving then to American kids?" is nothing. Huckabee agrees.

Once again, Huckabee is way too conservative for me.

"Because Huckabee rightly believes that even illegal aliens are humans, and deserve a chance to redeem themselves."
