People, there is a good reason that a man came into Hillary's headquarters demanding to talk to Hillary. Apparently ,the bomb strapped around his waist showed the mental Illenss that he has. Why did he come to Hillary's headquarters and not Obama's or Edwards. Since Edwards goes on about taking about the poor, so one would think he would do the same for mental health people. Maybe the man knew that Hillary had first hand knowledge of Mental Health given to her by Tipper Gore when Hillary was first lady and Tipper was Second lady. Hillary came out the other day ago talking about autism. If she keeps continues to keep talking about this issue, she will win, And I wil fight to see that she does win, cause I tried real hard in 2000 to get the presidential candidates to seriously talk about autism to no avail. I was disappointed when Al lost cause Tipper would have championed the issue of Mental Health in this country.

I like Michael Moore, but unlike him, I do purposely mix opinion in trying to prove my point.

If anyone can provide me with a statement from other presidential candidates in regards to Autism I will be more than happy to vote for him. I am surprised Obama hasn't yet. It was a Republican Congressman from his home state that had courage to stand up and fight for kids wih Autism. The man I am referring to is Dan Burton.

Is name calling the best that conservatives can do to bash Hillary? When I dispute other Republican candidates. I do it with facts.

It hasn't been proven that vaccines cause Autism, so i highly doubt Hillary would be in favor of such a ban.

Not all autism advocates are for banning the vaccines. Just he ones that do not know what they are talking about.

Thank you for posting this. Everyone seems to make fun of Senator Clinton and ignore her issues. Posters here bring up personal issues from President Clinton's administration that have no political relevance to anyone and no relevance in any regard to Senator Clinton's campaign.
Autism is increasing in America and 3-6 out of every 1000 children are autistic, with that number higher for males. Senator Clinton has been the only candidate with a comprehensive health care program which includes early childhood development issues. All autism is treatable and many autistic children can lead a normal life. The "evidence" that it is caused by the vaccine is highly speculative. Correlation of autism to vaccinated children is very suspect because almost all children are vaccined. It has been scientifically proven to be heavily genetic and an "autism gene" has been identified. I don't know why Senator Clinton generates such hatred from the Conservatives, but I, also, would welcome hearing any competing health plan. As our population ages, health issues of all types must be dealth with. Neither the aging population, the increase in autism or the issue of global warming will disappear. The day of hiding our heads in the sand and pretending it does not exist must end.

It is only when someone in a high position in washington is touched by a mental health issue that any progress is made in the field of mental health. It was not that long ago that the mentally ill were kept in horrible conditions, behind bars, given shock treatments without anesthesia and there was no public sympathy. Not until the kennedys became prominent in politics did things change. I believe they had a mentally retarded family member. After that conditions improved and the mentally ill were given therapy, and treated more humanely. I know for a fact that hillary has helped many hospitals in NY state, and visited many hospitals more than once. Even president Bush called her a formidable opponent because of her qualifications, wisdom, and knowledge. I have been behind hillary from the start. The more you know about her, the more impressed you become with her.

Interesting point, i'd never really gave it any though, but seeing as men are generally seen to be strong, tough, thick skinned if you will, a man with a mental health problem would often probably be seen as quite pathetic and he'd be told to 'man up' whereas with a women, I feel it's slightly more acceptable if you will, being the more emotional gender (stereotypically). Not that I personally feel that way - I think everybody is equally as fragile as eachother, but recently i've come to be very sceptical of people with 'mental health issues'. Terms like depression, anxiety, phobias etc get thrown around way too much these days, there are too many idiots self-diagnosing themselves as 'depressed' because for some reason or another it's becoming cool. Hope I helped :)

Speaking of Michael Moore, if you've seen "Sicko", I can't believe you're talking about Hillary Clinton and "health" in the same sentence. She, like many other current presidential candidates, is for sale. She sold out on the American people.

Hey buddy from a very happy Democrat who gets mail from Hillary and think she should be our next President. She got only stepped on once by her Stupid Husband and I say stupid in the way he acted. But she ran a lot of his action from behind, after talking with him and advising him. And yes she is for the people and I am one of them that is privligded to receive mail from her campaign daily. So she is the one to back. Obama has Oprah Winfrey on his side now and is using that to wint and is not for us. He hides from everything and only tries to injure the lady. I think she has class as well as brains and she will be for us the people. So you have another in your footsteps. And Love it.
