I have been out of the navy for about 6 months now and I can honestly say that I miss it. I still work with the reserves, and I'm not sure what I want to study in college so it seems reasonable to me to just get back in... but I know there had to have been a reason to get out and I just don't know what to do. I don't want to be miserable right now but I think I may have been happier in uniform.

Yes I got out of the marine corps and became a sheriff's deputy, then missed the corps so I went back in.

You just need to go talk to a recruiter. Take your dd214 with you when you go to talk with them.

Been there. Done that. I re-enlisted after being out four months. Best decision I ever made. Climbed the ratings, got a commission and retired as an officer.

look at it as moving out of your parent's house the first time...then going back to them cause you could'nt make it as an adult.
me personaly haven't done that..i've re-enlisted while still in. but i've seen others go back in cause they were'nt happy at what jobs they had as a cvilian. trust me, there is life after the military..you just need to ask yourself what would i love to do and get paid doing it?

I did, my brother did, my friend did. A lot of people miss it when they get out or find it difficult to adjust to "normal" life.
