I'm considering joining the Air Force. I understand the need to place recruits in positions that need filling. I scored a 98 on my asvab and I'm wondering what my chances are of getting a job in television and broadcasting/still photography/visual information. I've heard that there is a large influx of people joining the air force and that it is difficult to get a guaranteed job. I have a lot of experience in photojournalism from high school and a couple years of college. Will this help my chances of getting that position?

A North Pole expedition meant to bring attention to global warming was called off after one of the explorers got frostbite. The explorers, Ann Bancroft and Liv Arnesen, on Saturday called off what was intended to be a 530-mile trek across the Arctic Ocean after Arnesen suffered frostbite in three of her toes, and extreme cold temperatures drained the batteries in some of their electronic equipment

“Ann said losing toes and going forward at all costs was never part of the journey,” said Ann Atwood, who helped organize the expedition. One night they measured the temperature inside their tent at 58 degrees below zero, and outside temperatures were exceeding 100 below zero at times, Atwood said.

Proving that the world is about to become a flaming inferno is supposed to be easy, isn’t it?

Ok, he did good with 9/11 tragety. He did what he felt needed to be done during such a horrible event. However, that is not something that will win him the Presidential election. I think he knows now that he will have to come with something stronger than that. How about talking less about credentials here, and more about what your plans are should you get elected. I know past behavior tells a lot about the future, but none of these candidates who are running now have ever been President. So looking on the past to judge someones actions on the future dosnt always work. They might get elected and do something diffrent than when they were Mayor, Governor, Senator or Congressmen.

use them to fool the public into changing their vote? Do you feel like a fool for believing them? Do you think attack ads are hindering your ability to chose the best candidate?

This is not about a failed PT test. This is strictly overweight. What does the Army gain by barring a Soldier from reenlistment when wieght control is the only issue? The Soldier does not fall out of runs, can ruck like a champ, and others are surprised when they hear he busts tape.
Especially considering the money being paid to get new recruits, do you think the penalties in AR 600-9 are too harsh?

Winston Churchill said that appeasement is like feeding an alligator and hoping the alligator doesn't eat you last. The history of the the buildup of WWII and the war itself is a perfect example of Churchill's wisdom.

The Middle Eastern West haters are like the liberal America haters here at home: They cannot be reasoned with, they may have disparate personal views but they all unite in their desire to wipe out the Western World.

Kill Hitler? Yes. Kill the Islamo-fascists? Whadayathink?

If you support the war on terror, you understand that that takes the military, and that Bush started what will be known as the salvation of the world's innocent people.

Should there be a multi-branch guard force for the tomb?
Yes, the name of the tomb would imply that it is a Army thing, but the unknowns can be from any branch. In fact a unknown interned there was identified to be a Air Force pilot. So do you think the other services should be able to render honors to the unknowns as well?

Today Christians ... stand at the head of this country We want to fill our culture again with the Christian spirit ... We want to burn out all the recent immoral developments in literature, in the theater, and in the press - in short, we want to burn out the poison of immorality which has entered into our whole life and culture as a result of liberal excess during the past years.

My boyfriend is going to be stationed in El Paso, Texas. I currently live in Maryland and am planning to move there with him. I am interested in teaching on the military base where he's going to be stationed. How would I find information on that and what are the requirements?

Also, what's it like teaching at a military base school? Is it different than teaching at a civilian, offbase school?

I am considering moving to Canada from the United States but was wondering if anyone knows if in the future, I am allowed to move back.

If so, would the procedure be a little bit more easier since I am a citizen for 21 years? or would I have to go through the same process as any foreign person trying to move to the US?

I am joining the USMC so dont throw things at me like then why dont do it yourself i dont want to hear it. I've heard in person and on the web countless amount of times putting down other branches. Ok competetion is fine to some extent.

Marines-Hardest
Army-Hard
Navy-Kind of hard(if you hate water!)
Air Force-Least Hard

We are all America's Military there is no need to put down another branch. He has your back as you should have his. We are all fighting for our country and thats all that matters, just different missions and jobs. Big Deal! Shut up!

A Japanese soldiers novel;'After the main force had crossed the gorge, they blew the suspension bridge. The thousands who trailed behind were left to die.We were at the end of the line.Soldiers who had sruggled along before us littered both sides of the trail. It was a dreadful sight. Some were already skeletons,it was so hot that they soon rotted. The dead bodies became road markers.I came to feel the Australian Military was very strong indeed. Our reinforced 78 th Regiment had sailed from Pusan with 7,000 men only 67 survived,of my own 261 man company i was the only one to board a transport ship to Japan,I was told that of 170,000 men who went only 10,000 returned home'..........which campaign was this Japanese soldier talking about:(1) Solomon Islands(2)China(3)Burma (4)Okinawa (5)New Guinea(6)Iwo Jima
