I am considering moving to Canada from the United States but was wondering if anyone knows if in the future, I am allowed to move back.

If so, would the procedure be a little bit more easier since I am a citizen for 21 years? or would I have to go through the same process as any foreign person trying to move to the US?

I would be planning to become a Canadian resident with owning a house, having a job, etc. not just visiting.

A U.S. citizen may become a permanent resident of Canada if he wants. A U.S. citizen living in Canada is allowed to return to the U.S. as often or as little as he wants.

If someday you want to move back to the U.S., grab your passport, call the movers, and cross the border.

Going to visit somewhere or even luxuriating in an extended stay is one.....You can come & go as you please as an American citizen....now if you decide to become a citizen of Canada....who knows....Why risk it anyway.

if your a citizen of usa, why wouldnt you? as long as you have a passport of us then your fine, but if you wont anymore then you will need a green card or a way to get it back or sneak in here.

If you're a U.S. citizen, you can come and go, with appropriate documentation, anytime.
