I saw a news report on it,they cant vote,go anywhere or work or anything without the "HUSBANDS" approval. why?and how do they get away with that in todays world.

They get away with it because they are friendly to the US so we allow them to terrorize their women out of fear they will turn off the oil spigot.

Hey buddy actually u are right.
But too bad dubya supports these criminals as well as Israel.
They have to cover themselves up, cant drive,cant even work in most places and gets jail time for talking to a guy who aint his relative.
EDIT:Actually it isnt about religion as all the other muslim countries dont have such rules

it's intolerant and uncivil. this sadistic behavior proves that politics and religion don't mix. In order to society to thrive there absolutely has to be a thick wall between state and church.

its the same way we get away with censoring swear words on TV, of the same reason we drive on the right side of the road.
its kind of a chicken and egg question, it has just always been that way and it is self perpetuating. the only ones that can stop it are the women over there, but they don't think its wrong. you can only lead a horse to water.
