I just recieved a letter in the mail that says this "OFFICIAL BUISINESS--JURY SUMMONS" thats on the cover then inside theres a form that says JUROR QUALIFICATION FORM. Then it says that I am summoned to appear at the Corthouse to serve as a petit juror. Please help me I aint got no Idea what this is.....if it is a job or something do they pay me? Please Help!!!

You are being summoned for Jury Duty and you are required to appear on the day and time shown.

It is every citizens duty and obligation as an American to be called and to serve on Jury Duty. That's how our fair and open system of laws and courts exists...the right to be heard by a jury of ones peers.

I you don't appear on the time and date, a bench warrant for your arrest will be issued and you will be arrested and brought before the court.

You have been selected for jury service. Go to the courthouse at the time and place designated. You're not in trouble.

Please fill it out so you wont be picked as a juror. If you cant understand the letter then you shouldn't be picked as a juror you may convict an innocent person.

no its your duty as a citizen to do it. you have to do it for free and you dont get paid. its like a random time and you may miss school/work
