A North Pole expedition meant to bring attention to global warming was called off after one of the explorers got frostbite. The explorers, Ann Bancroft and Liv Arnesen, on Saturday called off what was intended to be a 530-mile trek across the Arctic Ocean after Arnesen suffered frostbite in three of her toes, and extreme cold temperatures drained the batteries in some of their electronic equipment

“Ann said losing toes and going forward at all costs was never part of the journey,” said Ann Atwood, who helped organize the expedition.One night they measured the temperature inside their tent at 58 degrees below zero, and outside temperatures were exceeding 100 below zero at times, Atwood said.

You really don't understand the concept behind Global warming do you? It's not based on 2 stupid and naive explorers getting frost bite. It's based on scientific facts of a warming planet and overall warming of average temperatures across the globe that are the result of thousands of scientists studying the environment, climate, historical weather patterns, glacial ice cores, ocean currents, and melting ice pacts in the artic. Al Gore is just the messanger, dude. He never said that the Antartic is going to be a balmy 70 degrees in the winter. He's not the scientist making the claims based on scientific evidence and facts which prove Global Warming exists and that we humans are the cause of it. I'd say that based on your in ability to understand the law of averages and understand science that you are doomed to being vulnerable to right wing and corporate propaganda.

Everyone, especially AlGore, knows that this man-made global warming BS is nothing but a political scare tactic that they decided to drum up. The truth is that the average temps in the world rose one degree in the last hundred years, seven-tenths of that was before 1945. none of it after the 1970s (because temps fluctuate up a degree one decade, down a degree the next.)
