I signed up for a contest and someone called me saying that I won a camera, and I need to fill out some forms they sent to my e mail and fax them to them. It asks for my social security # a copy of my drivers license and other info. I called the person back and asked them why I needed to give them my social and drivers lisence and they said it was because they needed to verify that it is me and that I am not an illegal imigrant. It sounds like a scam to me but I 'm just curios.

Why is there so much stealing and crime?

In the last few years I've had my home robbed twice, four bicycles stolen (all were locked), 3 laptops stolen, and many small items.

This is in Michigan. I was pulled over and the officer said that I was driving on a suspended license. My car was impounded license confiscated yadda yadda yadda. I called the secretary of state to see what my license was suspended for they said that it was for failure to pay a driver responsibility fee by may 16th 2007. I mailed out my payment to them on May 11, 2007. They processed it on may 18th but did not notify me that my license was suspended. I spoke with a reference person from the seceretary of state who stated that since I paid my fees that my license was no longer suspended and I would need to pay a 125 dollar reinstatement fee. I payed the fee and got my license back and my car out of impound. I want to find out the validity of what the seceretary of state's representative said to me because if what she said is true then I was not driving on a suspended license and therefore should not have to pay fines or whatnot. Any help with this matter would be GREATLY appreciated.

I'm strongly considering joining the Navy after 3 years of working towards a Biology degree that I don't really want. I am horrified by the prospect of having to be somebody's lab jockey and having little job advancement with only a B.S.

I want to do something that will be worthwhile and pay decently. My recruiting officer tells me that I can pick pretty much any job I want with my scores, but I'm a little overwhelmed by all the choices. I'm leaning towards CTI, depending on how I fare on the DLAB that I will be taking next week.

Also, I don't plan to make a career out of the Navy, so preferably a rating that I'll learn skills that I can transfer to the civillian world.

My ASVAB score was 99; the subscores all range from 64 (AO) to 76 (GS).

Historically, zoning ordinances have defined "family" as persons living together as a single housekeeping unit, who are also related by blook or marriage.

Seems to me that this is a discriminatory definition which can be used to keep gay, lesbian and transgendered couples out of certain neighborhoods, OR even two people that decide to live together, whether for romantic purposes, or simply to share expenses (roomates).

I think some of those historical definitions of family are being struck down, but what are they being replaced with? Can someone point me to a good, non-discriminatory definition of "family?"

Thank you!

For all the bigots and homophobes out there, PLEASE choose another question to spew your hate. Thanks.

who the presidential candidates should be... down our throats? Why is it that the debate was covered so poorly? It almost sounds, from reading AP's universal press release that they were attending a different debate??!!

Hillary Clinton is NOT the front runner of anything... Giuliani showed himself to be an absolute idiot, McCain was a pushover, Huckabee was a big great Zero and the AP insists of bringing these bozos to the forefront... WHY?

It would be huge news if Fox had planted questions from Republican campaigns in questions to Democrat candidates. Given that CNN planted multiple "gotcha" questions from a Clinton campaign member, several Obama supporters and an Edwards suppporter. Why are there no articles about this on Yahoo?

I had my court date for divorce on the 26th and was told there would be a trial in December. When I looked online at my court case, it was written "decided, decision rendered" by judge...and this was written on the date following the court date. Does this mean a final decision was made? I never got to even see the judge...my "ex" did and both lawyers...but not me. Someone please explain...thank you.

for many years since the end of the cold war less and less people joined the armed forces and the goverment didnt encourage people that much to join after all after around it didnt look like a major war owuld happen with all the worlds major powers being allies and at least civil to each other so it didnt look like a major war could happpen, but now that we have so many troops in the middle east we have completly run out of troops not a very nice thought if someone came invading so should the uk aim on creating a larger armed forces.

Yes or No?

There are Congressional documents that show that Prescott Bush and other high ranking bankers had a coupe with the Nazi's to overthrow Herbert Hoover and take over Washington.

And these people try to compare Ron Paul to Hitler ideology.

Thats crazy

Everything that George Bush and his Administration have done are right out of the Nazi playbook! Staging a Reichstag Fire (9/11), Protect the Homeland (Homeland Security) and turning the fear and SS Police against its own people (Dissent, Liberals).

They are doing this openly and arrogantly and no one does anything.

This Nation and our Freedom is about to die - and no one cares!

This has been planned for half a century
