I'm not talking about illegal Mexicans; I'm talking about our troops!

Doesn't it seem strange that many Democrats and Republicans are willing to lavish all kinds of social benefits on illegals, but don't support our troops and are now threatening to defund them? Something's wrong here, folks!

A New York Police Officer went to the NY DMV and requested vanity plates that said "GETOSAMA".

The DMV denied his request saying that the plate would be deemed offensive.

The plate is not insulting any ethnic group, but only supporting the US search for Binladen.

NY DMV spokesman Ken Brown said that such a plate is inappropriate.

Is he right?

On CNN there was a story where a young pregnant woman was tasered by police after she had asked for assistance in surrendering her young child in arms. When she tried to leave with the child, she was tasered in the neck by an officer. It doesn't matter what the reason was for the officer to use his taser it was just not called for - according to the video clip shown on CNN. What is the matter with police these days? They actually believe that a taser isn't harmful or fatal and that just isn't so. There have been at least three deaths that have been attributed to the wrongful use of the taser. What more has to happen before the citizen advocacy boards that grant power to the police departments say "No more tasering unless the cop's life is in danger"?

Okay, I got pulled over for not having a front plate on my car... well my temporary license were expired but I had insurance. Luckily my friend had license, but they gave me a court date, let me go and let her drive the vehicle home. Anyone know about how much in fines I would have to pay? I'm nervous about going to court tomorrow. I have purchased a new temporary packet and set up an appt. with my eye doctor before I go take my written test... so I'm thinking this should look good on me. Let me know anything helps!

The rift that led to the Civil War can trace its roots to the difference of opinion between Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton.
Hamilton, a Federalist, believed the new USA should assume all the war debts incurred by the states as a result of the war with England. He believed this would make the creditors loyal to the new country and invested in its success.
Jefferson felt this gave too much power to the government. With bankers and the rich loyal to the federal government rather than the states, the federal government could use that power for coercion.
This is pretty much the same argument that revolves around capitalism vs socialism. If a government controls wealth, it also controls the people. How does control of debt differ?

My hubby is in Iraq and he needs me to send him a small but powerful and very durable flashlight. We had one before but we lost it and I don't live near a base right now so I was wondering if anyone out there had any suggestions of a good one I could buy online or something. Everything I've seen at stores so far looks crappy. I don't know if theres a certain brand regularly bought for military that we know will hold up well.

Thanks for any suggestions!

I heard they were going to start having to report earnings as profit so it stands to reason if they're considered a business to the U.S. government then the BBB should accept reports for investigation and fraud.

What do you think? Know anything about it?

On Yahoo's front page this morning they had all the heated discussions from the CNN/Youtube GOP Debate. When they got to the part where McCain tells Ron Paul that the troops sent him a message "Let us Win" then they cut the part where Ron Paul tells McCain that more active military service personel have donated to the Ron Paul campaign than any other candidate and that McCain is full of it.

Why do they cut out the important stuff like that?

What are they afraid of?

Ok so I'm not stupid enough to do this but my friend kept bugging me about it. I told her no but she won't let it go. She keeps saying that if she got caught nothing can happen to me, she would only get in trouble.. but I beg to differ. I was just wondering EXACTLY what could happen if she got caught with a copy of my ID trying to get into the bar. I live in the state of PA. Any actual proof from websites or anything would help. I couldn't find anything but I know it'd be a bad situation. Thank you! Just wanna prove her wrong!

I am. It kind of stinks that people actually take the time to get SO offended by an answer that they feel the need to hit the "Report It" button though.

Atleast maybe now I won't get as many just because Republicans hate me....and our next President, Hillary.

Dollar Rises

The dollar rose Thursday against the euro on a stronger-than expected U.S. economic report and a decline in consumer confidence in France, one of Europe's largest economies.
The dollar also was bolstered by a report from the Commerce Department that the U.S. economy grew at a 4.9 percent pace from July through September. That was the strongest performance in four years

I'm wondering because I am supposed to be started a basic job at CVS, while Im in school for Pharmacy. I do have a criminal record (not drug or money related though).

If I get hired and stay with the company all through med school, can they not-hire me as a pharmacists due to my record?

Just wondering if there is a 'foot in the door' clause that would protect me from being completely screwed over.
