I'm not talking about illegal Mexicans; I'm talking about our troops!

Doesn't it seem strange that many Democrats and Republicans are willing to lavish all kinds of social benefits on illegals, but don't support our troops and are now threatening to defund them? Something's wrong here, folks!

Haha.... I was going to open up on you until you started talking about the "troops".

Well put.

I would like to lavish good care, good food and many hugs on our troops. That's why I want them to come home. Then they will be safe from harm and they can relax in the arms of those who love them. That's not a Democrat or Republican thing--that's a HUMAN thing.

The immigrants are here, so they can get benefits. The troops are not here, so they can't. Let's get them home.

I don't know of anyone, from either party, who doesn't support our troops-it's ridiculous to equate crticism of the war with non support of troops. No one is threatening to defund the troops, only to defund the war and, in so doing, insure enough money is available to bring them home safely. You call that "not supporting the troops?" Gimme a break.

And no one is willing to "lavish" benefits on illegals, Please provide a source describing the "lavishness" of the benefits. That's a gross exaggeration.

There is an honest question in there somewhere but you have not expressed it.

We ought to get tougher on the illegal alien invaders, and do a better job of supporting our troops. W. Bush declared a war on terror, but only the military and their families have been asked to sacrifice for our country. Plus, the moron, Bush, has borrowed billions of dollars to pay for the war, so that the next generation will be the ones to actually pay for his war. What a loser!

Actually I heard Vincentee Fox say the best, brightest and most energetic people in Mexico come to America to be laborers.

It not only disrupts the US economy it is a brain drain from Mexico

I'm not sure if our troops are considered minorities, and they did choose to do what they do. But I sure am glad they did make that choice. You're right, we do need more sympathy compassion and gratitude for those brave solders who put their lives on the line to protect ours'.

Why should we? Aren't they just like us, free and able to work, like the majority of citizens of America? Illegals are not Americans. You said minorities. Illegals need to be sent home. Minority Americans need to act as equal, as White Americans are to them.

Agreed (to a point)! Politicians ask for much, yet give little in return. War vets should be giving a 90 day housing allowance, a discount medical card, and offered three free counseling sessions.

One doesn't come back from 16 months of stress, long shifts, and killing or be killed, and simply hit a mental switch back to life-as-it-was. Supporting the troops goes beyond clapping ones hands as they disembark from their return flight.

One CAN defund the war, and SUPPORT the troops as they return.

Absolutely, I am sending out Christmas cards today. Also those who have time please volunteer locally to send Christmas baskets to our troops and don't forget recovering soldiers at Walter Reed Medical Center. Ok?

Thank you!
