soldiers in our military volunteered to serve. they are happy to support or way of life. and defend it , help others game freedom. very, very few soldiers ever just quit, or leave with out permission. if they actually do want out of the military, they will be put out with aless than honorable discharge. no problem, they are quickly gotten rid of.

Well, technically, if they REALLY told George Bush to stick it, in a letter, or meet and greet etc. they would be arrested for threatening the President. You can go to jail for that even if you do not mean it.

And trust me, every day and night, there are soldiers over there telling him to stick it. Most likely the ones that signed up for college and just wanted the money and that's it.

Drove me crazy when we deployed for Desert Storm, some people that had been in for years were looking for ways out, crying as they got on the bus. You say for that college money, if there is a conflict, then you go.

So to all those that tell George to stick it. I tell them, I did my time and after several deployments. "Wipe your tears and get on the freakin bus!!!"

Court Martial for Mutiny, Sedition, Failure to obey a lawful order, or a number of other things depending on the circumstances, most can be punishable by death in a time of war, which the DoD classifies the military at this time (Declaration by Congress is not required, simply armed conflict for this provision).

Not like it will ever happen, hell there has only ever been one Mutiny on a US Warship since 1775. With very few exceptions (Which the media will be more than happy to show), our forces in arms understand their commitment and will abide by it, not out of fear, but Honor.

Only one thing, it will not happen. They might have been told to go by Bush, but the changes they are making are much more valuable than simply packing up and walking away.

The news will always paint a negative picture on things, but if you are in a position to know what is actually going on your opinion would change.

Yes, it is a travesty that American military members are dying thousands of miles away, but the majority of them are happy with what they are doing. After all, we are serving in an all volunteer force. If we had been drafted then everything might be different.

Depends on some variables...

Who did he say it to......
Who witnesses his statement.....
His status in the unit (soldier or headache)
Has he refused to serve or just mouthed off
The unit commander....
What was the impact of his statement....

The punishment could range from an a** chewing.....to a full blown court martial for sedition....

I doubt it would ever happen .....over 90% of our troops support the war and the President (think they know something you do not .....possibly....??)
The remaning few malcontents are not stupid enough to make such an ignorant statement out loud.

Do you think a soldier would ever do it??

They can say and think what they like, but in all reality, but failing to obey a lawful military command has consequences, it a soldiers nature to complain, but they do their job regardless.

What you're inferring is impossible. Only a liberal would say something so stupid to the Commander and Chief, and a liberal would never volunteer to serve, and would never go to Iraq...

court martial - and if not, or I guess if everyone starts doing it, well then its a revolution against the government.

I guess a coup is the more proper definition. Anyway, you get the idea. No more USA as we know it.
