"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real..."

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force -- if necessary -- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."

No, because Gore's film was based on the scientific data. If the scientific data turns out to be wrong, that still doesn't make Gore's film misinformation.

However, it's impossible for the current warming to be due to a natural cycle. Scientists are well-aware of the Earth's natural cycles. You might as well ask 'if a day on Earth takes 22 hours and summer lasts 12 months, can everyone who bought Gore's movie sue him for misinformation'?

Besides which, you can't sue 'for misinformation'.

The real problem will be if we do nothing to solve global warming and it turns out not to have been a normal cycle.

If you could sue a liberal for lying, there wouldn't be enough courts in the land to handle the litigation!

If it turns out to not have been exacerbated by human activity, then just about every scientist in the relevant fields will have to retire. But since we already know that it is more than just a natural cycle, there's nothing to worry about, right?

That's pretty unlikely. It'll be 10,000-20,000 years before we can tell whether or not it's just natural cycle.

If it turns out there there were no WMDs in Iraq...can George Bush but thrown into jail for starting war based on false pretenses?

Yeah...based on intelligence from the white house. If only somebody had talked to the CIA who said there were no WMDS. Oh wait...there was a guy....His name was Wilson....

Liberals aren't sue-happy like you.

we don't live our lives in fear that someone else is getting something we're not.

we don't obsess over the money and property we think we deserve.

we like to enjoy our liberties and we somehow find joy in knowing that others have the same liberties instead of hating and resenting them for it.
