I've asked it before, I'm asking it again, in all seriousness...WHAT are REPUBLICANS Doing to Make the US and the World a BETTER place?

Republicans, neocons and conservatives are CONSTANTLY railing against global warming, the UN, this charity organization or another, they're against this cause or that cause. It doesn't seem like Republicans believe in much except for George W. Bush, "trickle down" economics, making and keeping money for themselves, and God. But you wouldn't know they believed in the latter or his Son, Jesus Christ by the way they act. So my question is What Are REPUBLICANS Doing to Make the US and the World a Better Place?

Try to keep it civil. Thanks!

Section 2. Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age,(See Note 15) and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such State.

Obviously this part was changed and is moot today. So how can we use the 14th as a valid argument for children of illegals born on American soil ?

Two U.S. army deserters who fled to Canada and sought refugee status on the grounds of their opposition to the war in Iraq have lost their bids to have the Supreme Court of Canada hear their cases.

The court refused today to hear the appeals of Jeremy Hinzman and Brandon Hughey, who were rejected by the Immigration and Refugee Board in 2005.

The board ruled they would not be at risk of their lives if they returned to the United States, nor were they at risk of "cruel and unusual treatment or punishment."

Both would face jail time if convicted of desertion.

She was in a car with six men whom she was not related to. The raped her, and because none of them are family members she is to be lashed and imprisoned.

her original sentence was 90 lashes and 2 months, but because she appealed the sentence it was increased. Her lawyer was stripped of his license to practice law and must go before a tribunal.

How can something like this happen in the United States. Or did it?

Do you think this is right?

Have you noticed that Fox News has an overabundance of blond reporters and anchorwomen?

Why is that?

Do blonds make better reporters? What do other women on here think about that?

I know that some people are against Mexicans and Canadians, but I think this policy is kind of cool. If you're born here, it's home! You don't punish children for being born somewhere, and you don't kick a new born out of the USA.

Self-Made man. Will put the needs of our fragile middle-class at the top again at a time when the average man between the age of 30-45 makes less with a college degree than his father did without one! He's definitely the right man for the job. If not, tell me why.... (real answers, not just emotional fluff)

My friends, I’ve got a bad feeling that he didn’t die from natural causes, and that he wasn’t a victim of a crime.

This was my reaction to a post about him this morning:

"My God,

That's so sad.

My prayers are with him and his family.

He was articulate, intelligent, polite, and respectful.

I had the opportunity of emailing him a few times.

R.I.P. my Friend."

My last email that I sent to him asked if he is a lawyer.

I then received an email back from him stating he is.

Y/A has just lost another great politics contributor.

But this loss isn't a matter of a suspended account.

May God have mercy on his soul and let him into the kingdom of Heaven.

Remember, Coragryh hasn't died.

He has just moved on to his next life hopefully.

R.I.P. Coragryh

Thanks for all of your answers to this forum

I think he's one of the best presidents America has ever had. In terms of Bush's place in history, he'll be remembered alongside the greatest presidents including Washington, Jefferson, Reagan, & a fellow Republican by the name of honest Abe Lincoln. Now, it's impossible for me to list ALL Bush accomplishments with such a short amount of space, but I'll list a couple of things this great man has done.

1) Bush has reestablished good Christian Values in the White House & America at large (Lord knows we needed it after the Clinton administration).

2) Bush has made us safe from terrorists through his audacious military efforts in Afghanistan & Iraq.

3) Bush has continuously fought for Middle Class Americans by cutting taxes. A move that also saved the Economy!

4) Bush has raised educational standards for our kids by starting the "no child left behind" program.

I can go on & on with Bush's accomplishments. There's just too many to mention because he's been so great!

Since it's easy to sit in judgment and declare this as cruel and horrible torture when you have no connection to anyone who is in harm's way from the detainee...
Imagine your child has been kidnapped and is currently buried alive with limited oxygen. The kidnapper has been caught but he refuses to divulge the child's location. Your kid is going to die if the police can't get the man to talk... would you still call waterboarding 'torture' and rule it out as a method in saving your child's life?

When you're dealing with a potential terrorist... you could be saving the lives of thousands of people... all of whom are someone's child, or spouse, or parent, or sibling, or friend. Do you think it's fair to condemn them to death so some terrorist won't be terrified into talking?
