It is documented that Edwards came up from struggling working class parents and got his $$ suing big companies on behalf of regular folks. Isn't this what all of us aspire to do- The American Dream? The truth is that they are all rich people (congress, candidates) but he seems to be bringing up issues relevant to working people. Isn't he a totally Horatio Algier kinda guy? Isn't this a guy Dems and Repubs could relate to? Whats up with the press dissmissals and character assassinations (based on dubious stuff).

I was forwarded this awhile back and thought I'd share it with all of you. Theodore Roosevelt was one of our President's the following was his ideas on Immigrants and being an American in 1907


"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American. There should be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language..we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people".

My husband is going through OCS school for the Navy. To get a Medical job and to go to pt school. Iam of course going to go with him wherever his job is and Iam fine with that, but what is the chance that he get shipped to Iraq where I can't follow him to? How many months are they gone at a time? Also how long is OCS school. I support him 100% but Iam just worried about us being apart for such a long time. We have never bneen apart longer than a week.

My wife is planning on moving my kids out of state before we get the divorce started. What do i have to file with the courts to take and get a stop put on the move. I know for a fact the judge won't allow the move but i can't get anyone to tell me what i have to file to stop it
