Do you think that Dubbya/Cheney would have a real understanding of the difference between self serving cowardice and that of honor, duty and sacrifice had they actually served and fought in a war?

I served , 3 tours USMC, Vietnam, Desert Storm Era, and the reserves, from age of 17.

Bush DID serve, he didn't get orders to Nam. The National Guard did serve there, just ask anybody who was with the Pennsylvania Army Guard.

John Kerry was a fraud, and a traitor to all of us who served in Nam. I spit on his service !

You said you served 6 years ? Where, and with who ? Combat ?

The military does not have the professionals to handle this problem and the VA NEVER did. We now have two more generations of veterans using the same faculties as they're grandparents do.

I saw this problem up close when gulf war veterans started using their education benefits. You have to see a physiologist at a VA too say you are mentally fit to attend college. Today the VA is still allowing veterans to use up their educational benefits (and life) while they have them on FIVE or more medications! and that is only a very small part of the problem...

I was diagnosed with ptsd and am getting 100%
I feel there is more the Va could do but I dont know what. This is a big issue.coming up.
They are putting specialist in every Va hospital, but I imagine it will be worse than a teacher student ratio..
The Va was in shambles but is cleaning up fast.
Dont know why Clinton didnt correct this a long time ago, oh yeah he wasnt a vet either

i remain stunned that america chose bush over kerry.

and saddened that the obvious lies about kerry (a decorated war hero, who then came home and spoke his mind AFTER volunteering and serving) became accepted as fact and that you can't even mention kerry's name without having the brain dead radical con minority roll their eyes.

bush and cheney are the most unqualifed leadership we have ever had.

they also remain the most blinded by corruption, cronyism and corporate profits than any other leaders we have ever had.

if bush had gone to vietnam, he may have gotten some perspective on what it really means to go to war.

it really says something that al franken has spent more than 10 times as much time in iraq as our president...
