I've asked it before, I'm asking it again, in all seriousness...WHAT are REPUBLICANS Doing to Make the US and the World a BETTER place?

Republicans, neocons and conservatives are CONSTANTLY railing against global warming, the UN, this charity organization or another, they're against this cause or that cause. It doesn't seem like Republicans believe in much except for George W. Bush, "trickle down" economics, making and keeping money for themselves, and God. But you wouldn't know they believed in the latter or his Son, Jesus Christ by the way they act. So my question is What Are REPUBLICANS Doing to Make the US and the World a Better Place?

Try to keep it civil. Thanks!

Well, they made the rich richer, they increased terrorism activity in Iraq and Afghanistan therefor gas prices increased 300%, they increased opium production in Afgahnistan, they open a nice trade of lead from China to our kids, an unbeilavable debt, now they want ot increase terrorism in Iran too, and maybe a third world war. They are doing great!

As far as making the US better . . . Unemployment is extremely low and has been for a while. The job market is outstanding, particularly for college graduates just coming out of school. The low taxes have helped everyone and has kept the economy strong, despite being dragged down by the housing problems. Personally I believe that the president appointed two very qualified judges to the supreme court, which helps the country.(although both republicans and democrats deserve recognition here because these justices were confirmed in the senate. We have not had a terrorist attack on US soil since 9/11, and based on the amount of terrorist activity we have seen overseas in the past 6 years, then the government must be doing something right (at least with respect to the US). As far as the world, there has been much less achieved, but personnaly I care more about the US first. The US government (Republican or Democrat) has very little say in what happens in other countries--what exactly were you expecting them to do that they didn't?. We have strengthened ties with important countries though, such as Japan, Austrailia, Germany, France, England, Canada, and India. Other relationships have suffered though so its a wash.

the Republicans are;nt doing anything to make the world safer.their stirring up trouble throughout the world. by going into other countries and pushing their way of life on other people.taking social services away from their own people to fight a war we can;t win in Iraq.lying to the American people about why we are there in Iraq.as well as to the rest of the world.how can any good come out of all this.then there;s condalisa rice running her mouth causing trouble.and everyone knows she is a big suck ---.she is a shame to the black women in this country.or to any women for that fact.we need a real change in washington.but i;am not so sure the democrats will do any better.we are in a real mess america.

Sadly, Republicans and Democrats are doing little. The only way to make the world a better place is to maximize liberty. This means leaving men free to do as they choose with their time, talents, and assets.

Unfortunately, Republicans choose to interfere(Patriot Act, tariffs on trade, etc.), and so do Democrats(welfare, SS, and trade restrictions, as well).

Cut taxes for every taxpayer. Helping the economy grow (3.8 and 3.9% real GDP gain last 2 quarters). They are opposing the Global Warming Hysteria. Contrary to what Al Gore says, the debate is not over. Not by a long shot. They are keeping us safe by fighting terrorism, over there, over here, their funding, intelligence, etc. Bush expanded the AIDS funding in Africa. A senior prescription drug benefit where none existed before.

There are things they are doing or not doing that is not helpful. Nobody is perfect. But you asked for the positives.

Republicans (in general) are working to decrease governement intrusion in our lives. By decreasing taxes we have more money to spend. Which helps stores and service providers. They can then expand hiring new people (decreasing unemployment!).

By the war on terror they're stopping Islamist fascists from their kill or convert policy. Their clerics have stated they have a kill or convert policy. 9/11 happened.

Then there's the Democrats, who's idea of making the world a better place is to take money from someone who's worked for it and give it to someone who didn't. Oh, and increasing taxes on the job providers.

Republicans are making life better for his/herself which (in effect) makes life better for everyone.

I can't say I ultimately agree with it, but that's the rationale.

It is not the place of Republicans to make the world a better place.

Their mandate is to look after the interests of their constituents.
