if he had just ignored subpoenas and hid behind executive priviledge the way Bush does?

Clinton did hide behind executive privilege.

He even tried to hide behind executive privilege during criminal proceedings.

But was forced by the courts to abandon that policy.

Bush has never used executive privilege for any criminal proceedings.

And whats funny, is the first time Bush used executive privilege, was to protect the Clinton administration from a Republican Congress.

When they ask for information on Janet Reno and the FBI files.

Actually he is one of the best this nation has had given the fact that America prospered and was well respected during his two terms in office. All of that has been wiped away by sheer stupidity, audacity and outright dishonesty of the current administration in the White House. Sorry neocons, its true.

He balanced the budget, and left GWB with a large enough surplus to fund SSA for 20 more years. Dubya spent it in 6 mos. and created a 9 trillion dollar debt. And he's not done yet. The answer to your question is YES.

Actually he did try to hide behind executive privilege, but it didn't work.

It's too bad he didn't just use the foolproof Republican way to avoid accountability: "I do not recall."

blue316 thanks for telling us about Bush. Lying about weapons of mass destruction. Lets see who was hurt by that compare with Clinton lying about having sex. On a scale 1-10, I think lying about Iraq cost up more. Don't you think?
