Can you believe this stuff?

I heard this financial expert on the radio today, and he was talking about how bad the economy is doing and how many foreclosures, there are, about high gas prices, and how much more americans were paying for a barrel of oil compared to europeans etc.. and how we may be headed to a recession etc.. Then a strange happened. On top of all that not so rosy news, he then was asked about his own personal financial investments whether he was short or long in the market, and he reluctantly admitted that for the most part he was more short than long...and then when asked where people should invest their money, he talked about how so many other countries economies looked to be doing better that people should loof for good foreign investments to invest their money in. I thought about all he had said and had a good laugh. Then I said to myself...what a country !!!

What are the restrictions placed on a US citizen, who is on 5 years probation for a 1st offense, non-violent, class"C" (possession of a controlled substance-cocaine) felony, in regards to property already owned in Nova Scotia, Canada. Property is not mortgaged, paid in full, all taxes are paid, and the property has a house on it, which is rented. Will entry to Canada be allowed? Can the property be sold? Any information or resources would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If the taliban knew there was no way of winning -would they fight or run?
Would the whole world dare to intervene over such an immoral trade in a way that meant our governments wouldn't have the riches from this evil trade and our children wouldn't have to live with the consequences of it continueing?
If you think not - can you list the reasons why the whole world isn't getting involved or at least the full might of nato and the UN?
How can we publicly acknowledge the fact of a bumper season and 3 times the normal crop without nuking the whole region?

What can we do to resolve this issue? Personally I think our govt is pursuing some really expensive and ineffective ways of going about it. I predict in 10 years youll be hearing how the fence along the border had 0% result. I think the problem were having is that we are tackling this issue just like the drug issue... were going after the supply side of it. We need a demand side fix. That is, we need to take away peoples desire to come over. I propose we declare that it is legal to buy and sell humans if they are caught within our borders illegally. That will take away incentives. I know it sounds harsh but its all I can imagine would fix this. If we dont do something drastic then we ought to just do nothing and save our money because what were doing isnt working.

"
These figures belie the notion that government can relieve financial strains in
Social Security and other programs simply importing younger immigrant workers. The
fiscal impact of an immigrant worker is determined far more by skill level than by age.
Low-skill immigrant workers impose a net drain on government finance as soon as they
enter the country and add significantly to those cost every year they remain. Actually,
older low-skill immigrants are less costly to the U.S. taxpayer since they will be a burden
on the fisc for a shorter period of time."

My eleven yr old stepdaughter is violent and will not listen she cusses me and has even punched me I have tried everything and so has her father. Well the other day she yelled at me and called me a freaking liar when I busted her in a lie. I slapped her across the cheek there was no mark and I didn't slap her hard she decided to report me to DCF and the case worker said what I did wasnt excessive or abuse but that it isnt legal and I can only spank her on the butt with my hand. She told my step daughter this and now she really wont listen. So my question is this is the case worker wrong because I beleive she is Ive heard its not illegal as long as you dont cause serious injury or leave a mark.

My mother-in-law has been diagnosed in early stages of Alzheimers, and my husband is devastated. Her new husband is not getting her proper treatment - keeping doctor's appointments, making sure she takes her medication, etc - and my husband and his sisters are upset. Do they have any legal rights? They want to help, but their step-father insists that he can handle everything alone and has told them, in so many words, to butt out of "his" business.

What is the liberal answer? Mrs. BJ Clinton wants to tax the oil companies more. Won't that just cause them to move to another country? Who is stopping us from drilling oil wells in the gulf of mexico or ANWAR in alaska, or building gasoline refineries, or using nuclear power?

Guys, shame to tell that I received a letter from a court says that I was fined at 265 pounds because they detected I have TV equiptment at home. It was at my previous address and I haven't read the letter in detail. But to be honest, I had a 20'' TV was wait to be sold but it is disconnected and packed up in the box. I was once found by Licence people told I have to pay for previous 3 months and I did and a week later, I was legally cancelled direct debit by emailing TV Licence. And they made a agreement to that in the end of May 2007. But since I moved out Aug 2007 and my flatmate says she find a court letter says I was fined. Just wonder how they could say that my tv was connected and report to court? And, I wonder what further action I can do and told them? Currently, I have another licence for my home at Manchester. That is ridiculars so far and I am totally lost. Help~~ T T

Notice how you won't hear Hillary, Barack, Rudy, McCain or most of the others take a tough approach to this issue and give you the real truth, not double talk.
