Last year I received a summary offense for underage consumption of alcohol. I plead guilty and paid the fine and it's all over with in my book. I am aware that this will show up on a criminal background check. I'm a finance major and my question is will a summary offense like underage consumption of alcohol prevent someone from getting a job in the business world?

Is it worth it for me to go through the process of getting this expunged? - My record is clear other than this.

I appreciate any help

Recently divorced after a long $20,000 battle. The judge make his ruling based on what he has put in writing as.. "my feeling". NOT FACT. He refuses to use our previous income tax as my actual income. He has added what he feels I actually make (over 25,000 higher annually) to base alimony payments. Also, I have to pay ALL the debt that was taken in my name without my knowledge. (Until I did a credit report) There is nothing we can do about fraud, because apparantly your spouse has the legal right to obtain credit in the pther spouses name WITHOUT the others knowledge. I am drowning in debt with no help from the other. I will be in contempt of court if all of this isnt payed each month, but the money isnt there to do it. Dont judges have to make a ruling based on FACT not FEELING? What are my options going to a higher court? The attorney fees are just getting worse with no end in sight. HELP!

I've heard them all. And these are excuses. If you have to explain why you are wrong the majority of the time, it is an EXCUSE, not an explanation.

1) It takes 4, 8, and even 12 years for a president's policies to take effect. That's why Reagan is responsible for the growth seen under Clinton. However, Carter and Clinton had absolutely nothing to do with the growth seen under Reagan and Bush Jr.

2) Reagan was responsible for the growth under Clinton, but he was not responsible for the Bush Sr recession.

3) Just because the economy tends to do better under Democrats, does not imply cause and effect, unless you are talking about Republicans and tax cuts, then it is definitely cause and effect.

4) The Republican congress was responsible for the Clinton growth, but the Democratic congress under Reagan was not responsible for the Reagan growth.

...the other candidate did not share your values?

There are many people who don't like Hillary and I count myself among them, but if the time comes to vote and your choices are Hillary, a Republican you didn't like, and a Third Party candidate that has no chance of winning, who would you vote for? Is there a circumstance in which you would vote for Hillary?

A couple of months ago I was backed into by a Hummer. And instead of exchanging insurance info with me, the kid took off. Now the police found him and I have the report and it says "No Citation Was Issued" Does that mean he didnt get into any trouble for hitting me and then running? If so is there somthing I could do about that? The kid was 16....what is that teaching him??????? It just doesnt seem fair.....

Widening waterway would deter illegals & prevent Texan ranchers from having waterways cut off from there farms. It sends a better message to Mexico as well. Texas & Mexico show support. The Border Patrol shows some support as well. This sounds like a positive step to take. Some say increased drowning risk, but they would be hurt trying to cross the proposed fence as well. What do you think?

I remember hearing a story that Pamala Anderson was naked in her car and nobody cared except a reverend that seen her. I guess he went to the police and all they did was make her apologize to him. So i'm guessing its not illegal to be naked in public in LA? If so, I would not bring my kids to LA. Ever.

I was raised in a strict catholic household and I do not think this behavior is appropriate

"Because he's a dumb ignorant southern moron that cant talk" is not a logical answer. If thats the best you can come up with YOUR THE IGNORANT MORON who needs a life.

I know there the whole war thing..blah blah blah. But other presidents have been in that situation and there werent called "the worst president in the history" Why cant everyone get over it. He'll be president till 2008 or w/e it is. Deal with it.

I need to renew passport issued 11 years ago - expired last year. Last time, there were designated photography shops that offerred packages; first 2 required for passport at certain fixed charge, additional copies (needed for visas for some countries) at certain incremental rates. The photo technology has advanced since then. So have the charges. My inquiry for rates at some of the places resulted in quotes between $8 -$12 per first set (2 copies), additional copies at the same rate.
---The state dept. is very much justified for the stringent rules.
---The post office is justified charging higher rate for pictures -they are doing a great favor to the applicant who did not bring along the required pictures.
The open competition between closely located neighborhood stores should drive the prices down in favor of consumers - unless this is a price fixing between so called competitors. This is late for me but - Any alternatives to this HIGHWAY ROBBERY?
