well i don't like been on the bus here for years to be honest. Junkies chatting about how they attacked some old woman and all. even heard two one day talking how they were going to rob a pharmacy. junkies talk real loud and wonder how the hell cops catch them so easily seen the muppets talking out loud on mobiles to some other junkies of where to meet up and a cop car beside him without him even knowing. its not only immigrants that talk loud that is not an immigrant thing everyone does it. god i was even talking loud to the wife earlier in a shop on the phone. i am guilty too. damn

Mobil phones on public transportation (or in stores, etc.) should be criminalized, barring emergency, in any event. No matter what language is being used.
Sorry, just my perspective.
I think in Chicago the trains have gone to a single car for mobil phones where they can all outshout each other and others aren't bothered by them.

Deal with it ! or stop complaining about something you can change, by getting your own means of transportation. This a racially charged statement, your friend has flawed thinking processes his statement is sending the implication that people his own race don't speak at levels above a whisper.

Instead of focusing on the level of their conversations, why not point out that he should be happy to see them travelling back and forth to work and to their families, much like other Brits.

What a crybaby! Your friend needs therapy to get over his selfishness. As far as I'm concerned, speaking aloud in a public place is a freedom we should appreciate.

I would be more concerned with the people on public transportation that insisted on whispering.
